Design the longitudinal and transverse reinforcement for a rectangular columns size 3 00 x 350 mm. This column is classified as short and subjected to ultimate axial load of 1200 kN and bending moments of 51kNm and 56kNm about major and minor axis respectively. Use grade C25/30 concrete, grade 500 steel reinforcement and nominal concrete cover of 30mm.
