ARTÍCULOS DETERMINADO E INDETERMINADO A. ARTÍCULO INDETERMINADO: A El uso correcto de los artículos determinado e indeterminado es un asunto complejo para los alumnos de primer curso curso . Donde más problemas encuentran encuentran es en la omisión del indeterminado indeterminado con nombres plurales y del determinado en generalizaciones generalizaciones y expresiones hechas .
El artículo indeterminado se usa con oficios y trabajos.
CORRECTO My mother is a housewife My grandfather was a miner
INCORRECTO My mother is----is----- housewife My grandfather was ---- miner
NUNCA se utiliza con nombres nombres en plural.
CORRECTO We have some friends in Laviana I got some CDs for my birthday
INCORRECTO We have a friends in Laviana I got a CDs for CDs for my birthday
No va con nombre INCONTABLES

Se utiliza este artículo cuando se cita algo por primera vez.. Los ejemplos en este caso proceden de descripciones.

Se utiliza este artículo cuando el tema o asunto es conocido por el interlocutor , no hay nueva información.

Los errores más frecuentes se centran en la omisión del artículo determinado, cuando NO debe utilizarse. Así nos podemos encontrar con lo siguiente:
Televisión no lleva artículo
CORRECTO I like watching ----- television

Este fallo tiene su origen en que los alumnos asimilan television con radio que si lleva artículo.
Al mencionar algún tema de forma general no se utiliza el artículo.

Las palabras breakfast, lunch y dinner no llevan artículo

Las siguientes palabras no llevan artículo: home, church, school, work, hospital, bed y university.

Con las expresiones temporales last week, last month, last year , no se usa el artículo
