customer custom er number range alphanumeric This question is Assumed Answered. Hi My requirement is cus tomer no range is first character is state code then second character is customer first character and then next four character is m umeric. external ext ernal no range is possi ble but i want to configure as i nternal generate generate no range. can any expert guide me in above topic ? Thanks

Re: customer number range alphanumeric Hi, I guess in s tandard its its not Possible, Actually the internal num ber are ass igned throug h Numb er Range Objects defined through tcod es SNRO and SNUM. You Yo u have to change the number range ass ignments SNUM, but remember these number ranges defined are not transportable. They have to manually defined in each client/system. customer number range alphanumeric | SCN however it is pos sible. try this get number of your customer by using FM NUMBER_GET_NEXT after getting number concatanate you alphabetic character with newly generated number and ass ign to you customer field. But still i m thinking internally its not poss ible. Thanks, Raja

Here define your number like IN00001 to IN9999 like this. Here we are going to as sign this number to that account group by using the path: SPRO>Logistics General>Business Partner>Customers>Control-->Define and as sign customer number ranges. Assig n Numb er Ranges to Account Groups . Define your account group such that the country name comes here. But it is a very difficult process. You can enter the numbers externally.It is s uggestable. Regards, Krishna.

Also from wha t I remembe r, for the account groups w ith internal num ber range, it could be that the number can be first generated then the BAdI is triggered.

In other words, the internal number range you are using is always increasing even if you do not use it. Hope this helped BR Alain
