CONTRACT OF PLEDGE
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: This AGREEMENT, made and entered into by and between: Charmaine P. Mejia, of legal age, Filipino, single, and a resident of 626 Unit B R.O. Santos Street, Barangay New Zaniga, Mandaluyong City, Philippines, (hereinafter (hereinafter referred to as the " PLEDGOR "); "); - and Maria Christina Carpio, of legal age, Filipino, widow , and a resident of Block 8 Lot 45, Lamayan Street, Sta. Ana, Manila, Philippines, (hereinafter referred to as the "PLEDGEE"); WITNESSETH: That -
WHEREAS, the PLEDGOR has executed in favor of and delivered to the PLEDGEE a promissory note for the amount of Five Thousand Pesos (P500, 000.00), a copy of which is attached hereto as Annex "A" and is made an integral part of this Agreement; WHEREAS, the PLEDGOR has agreed to secure payment of said note by the pledge of several personal properties, properties, more more particularly particularly described described as follows: follows:
1. 1997 Green Nissan Sentra Plate no: WYB901 Chassis no: AHD90876 2. 2010 Blue Nissan Grand Livina Plate no: PIC474 Chassis no: BXY89234
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises and the stipulations here following, the PLEDGOR does hereby deliver to the PLEDGEE the above-listed and described personal properties properties under pledge as security for the payment of the above-mentioned promissory note and the interest and penalties thereon accruing.
In the event of the failure of the PLEDGOR to pay the said note, or any part thereof, or the interest or penalty thereon accruing, or any part thereof on or before June 30, 2014, the PLEDGEE is hereby authorized to foreclose this pledge upon the said personal properties hereby created by selling, the
same at public or at private sale with or without notice to the PLEDGOR, at which sale the PLEDGEE may be the purchaser at his option. Upon the payment of the said note and interest in full, the PLEDGEE will, on demand of the PLEDGOR, redeliver to him the said personal properties. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto set their hands, this 5 th day of December, 2013 at Makati, Philippines.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT BEFORE ME, a Notary Public for and in the City of Makati, personally appeared Charmaine P. Mejia with Community Tax Certificate No. 2342 issued on November 13, 2013 at Makati City, personally known to me (or whom I have identified through competent evidence of identity) and who represented to me that his/her signature on the foregoing instrument was voluntarily affixed by him/her for the purposes stated in the instrument and who declared that he/she has executed the foregoing instrument as his/her free and voluntary act and deed.
