Completely Reverse Heart Disease With This Revolutionary Treatment What would you say if I told you that you could not only clear all the plaque out of your arteries but also reverse arterial damages? What would you say if I told you that you could make your hard, stiff arteries as soft and flexible as they were as when you were a youngster?

• The only thing you can do to treat
diabetes that;s more important than diet, supplements, or even exercise.
• The common food additive that causes Parkinson’s — you can even find it in many health foods.
And what would you say if I told you this is possible even if you spent the first half of your life smoking, eating trans fats, and being a couch potato? You’d probably be skeptical. Well, dear friend, the startling truth is even the most severe cases are reversible. And I have over 2,700 patients who can attest to this fact. Many of these patients had blockages so severe that their doctors told them they’d die if they didn’t have a bypass immediately. Many had chest pain so bad that they were popping nitroglycerin like it was candy. And many were in such bad shape that they could barely walk the length of their living room without getting tired. Yet within 3 to 5 months, these folks were able to have normal, active lives. They were able to breathe again, move again, resume the activities they enjoy, and regain their independence. What’s more, their stress tests and echocardiograms went back to normal. And, perhaps most telling of all, their Arterial Stiffness Index scores dropped by up to 80% or more! How did they get these miraculous results? Through CheZone®, a treatment that combines chelation and ozone therapy. I’ll tell you all about CheZone® in a minute, but first, let me explain why these people were able to achieve such amazing results.
New Arteries in Three Months? One of the most important types of cells in your body is the endothelial cells. Endothelial cells form the insides of your arteries and veins. They are crucial for good circulation and blood flow. They’re so important, that your body replaces every single one of your endothelial cells every three months, naturally! Now here’s where it gets really interesting.... If, during the next three months, the endothelial cells in your arteries are starved for nourishment, or don’t get enough of the nutrients they need, then they will reproduce new endothelial cells that are just as unhealthy as the ones you have now. But if, on the other hand, during the next 3 months, your endothelial cells get bathed in a higher level of oxygen and nutrients, then those cells will be healthier than their “parent” cells. So all the endothelial cells in your arteries can become healthier and function better than they did before. Not only that, this improvement will build on itself, every 3 months, for as long as you keep up this program. Until your arteries become as healthy as they can possibly be.
When you have circulation problems, all sorts of gunk and crud builds up inside your arteries. This is known as plaque deposits. As you may know, the best way to get rid of plaque deposits is with chelation therapy. Chelation is an intravenous treatment using a solution of minerals, vitamins, and a special amino acid called EDTA. Chelation Therapy improves circulation, enabling more oxygen to reach the cells. It also helps remove abnormal calcium deposits. The excess calcium is excreted through the urine and bile, or re-circulated into your bones. Chelation therapy has been used for years to reverse the effects of hardening of the arteries caused by calcium deposits and other complex factors, which can lead to heart attacks, strokes, and gangrene. As good as chelation is, though, it’s only half the battle. You have to do more than just get the crud out of your arteries. You have to heal the arteries themselves. That’s because your arteries get damaged over time. Think of your arteries as if they were rubber tubes. If you leave a rubber tube out in the sun and rain for a long time, it becomes brittle and hard. Your arteries are like these rubber tubes. Over time, the damage caused by plaque deposits and inflammation injure your arteries. Your arteries stiffen with age. And when your arteries stiffen, they can’t expand or contract as well, which can reduce your circulation.
How to Do It So how do you make sure each new generation of endothelial cells is healthier than the last? There are basically two things you need to do.

Speed up the Healing Process So the second thing you need to do is heal the damage done to your arteries by years of stress and inflammation and plaque build-up. The best way to heal your arteries is shockingly simple — exercise! You see, exercise is a form of controlled tissue injury. The “injury” inflicted by the right form of exercise releases the injury factors that I mentioned before. These

injury factors cause the surrounding cells to reproduce faster. In addition, exercise is an “oxidative” therapy. Oxidative therapies boost the amount of oxygen from the blood that is delivered into your cells. This increased oxygen speeds up the production of energy in your cells. Having more energy helps your body repair itself and regrow new cells — including endothelial cells — even faster.
At my clinic, we use an innovative treatment called CheZone therapy that I developed over 15 years ago. It involves combining the blood flow enhancing effects of chelation therapy with the metabolic effects of ozone therapy. You see, ozone is like “supercharged oxygen.” Normally, oxygen has a pair of oxygen atoms, so it’s called O2. Ozone has three oxygen atoms, so it’s called O3. The third oxygen atom makes ozone an unstable molecule. It’s this unstable or reactive quality that gives ozone its remarkable medical properties.
Warning: If you have a weak heart… If you have a weak heart, though, you don’t want to start exercising vigorously. That’s simply too dangerous. So with weakened patients, I have them sit in an infrared sauna for 30 minutes. And while they’re in the sauna, they breathe 100% oxygen. Believe it or not, sitting in a sauna has the same effect as exercise. It helps your blood vessels, boosts your heart rate, and speeds up your metabolism. Twenty minutes in the sauna can burn as many as 450 calories. Together with 100% oxygen, this treatment oxygenizes your blood vessels and improves the healing process. For patients who can handle moderate exercise, I have them do multi-step exercisewith-oxygen therapy. Multi-step exercise involves walking briskly on a treadmill for 15 minutes while breathing 100% oxygen from a mask. Multi-step therapy raises oxygen pressure in your arteries, so more oxygen gets into your cells. It also lowers the oxygen in your veins. The bigger the difference between the oxygen pressure in your arteries versus the oxygen pressure in your veins, means more oxygen is being used by your cells. Finally, I use one more type of oxidative therapy that makes all the difference to how well your endothelial cells reproduce themselves. It’s somewhat of a secret in the field of cardiology...
Ozone was discovered in the late 1800s. It was used successfully to treat infections during World War I. Today, major cities all over the world such as Los Angeles and Paris use ozone to purify their drinking water. Ozone is also used to disinfect the air in operating rooms. Medical ozone therapy is common in Europe and has been expanding in America for the past 15 years. Ozone does an incredibly good job at improving how well your cells are able to use oxygen and other nutrients. That’s because ozone increases your intake of oxygen. It stimulates the formation of enzymes that enable your blood to release oxygen into your cells. Virtually all patients with chronic diseases have a deficiency of these enzymes. And ozone is the most potent inducer of these enzymes. For this reason, ozone is like “exercise in a bottle.” It floods your cells with oxygen. When cells are flooded with oxygen, they function more effectively, and they reproduce faster. For CheZone therapy, we mix one unit of ozone into a small sample of the patient’s blood and then reinfuse the blood back into the body. Studies have shown that after being treated with ozone, oxygen utilization improves as much as 30-40% in patients with chronic conditions.

You’ll Never Need June was 53 years old when she suddenly started having chest pains. She had never felt anything like this before, and knew something was wrong. She called her son, who took her to the emergency room. A few hours later she received the verdict. “You have angina,” the doctor told her. “It’s caused by a clogged artery in your heart. We need to operate immediately or you will die.” But June said, “The pain is gone and I feel just fine now. Why can’t I just take some medicine for a while and see if that will work?” You see, June had been depressed for seven months ever since her husband of 43 years had died of cancer. She knew she had not slept well since he became sick. She knew she was 35 pounds overweight, and that she didn’t exercise, and didn’t pay attention to what she ate. Basically, she knew why she was having chest pains. And she knew it wasn’t just from a clogged artery. Why? Because arteries don’t clog up all at once. They clog up slowly. Her arteries were just as clogged yesterday as they were today. Yet she didn’t have chest pains yesterday. Common sense told her there must be some other reason why she was having chest pains. So she told the doctor to give her some medicine and she would be on her way. She promised him that she would see her regular doctor first thing in the morning. But the next morning her regular doctor heard the story and without even examining

her gave her the same warning: “You need to go back to the hospital immediately and have that operation, or you will die.”
The Danger of Invasive Surgeries June wasn’t a medical professional. But she had read how many people die each year from emergency heart procedures. In fact, a well-known study conducted by the Veterans Affairs in upstate New York revealed a shocking statistic about heart operations. For two-and-a-half years, researchers followed 920 patients who had suffered mild heart attacks. Of these, 458 were treated with a “conservative strategy” in which they received only received medications. The other 462 had an “invasive strategy.” This consisted of emergency heart catheterization, followed by either bypass surgery or angioplasty. What they discovered was astounding. In the first nine days, 21 of the patients in the invasive group died, compared to only six in the conservative group. At the end of two-and-a-half years, 80 patients in the invasive group had succumbed, compared to only 59 of those in the conservative group. “Do this or die” emergency heart surgery had actually increased the overall death rate by 36%! June knew there must be more to the story than she was getting. So she called my office the next day.
Heal More Than Your Heart and Arteries I have been treating patients with this program for years. Of the hundreds of patients who have followed it, I have never had a single one suffer a heart attack. Statistically, you would expect to see at least a few heart attacks in this group. But I’ve never had a single patient follow this plan

d Bypass Surgery Thinning the Blood I remember June well. She was still grieving over her husband’s death. In fact, she hadn't had a decent night's sleep in over a year. When I examined her, June was overweight and her blood pressure was elevated. The emergency doctor had prescribed a nitroglycerin patch for the angina. Nitroglycerin is a very old herbal remedy that works exceptionally well for angina. It causes the blood vessels leading to the heart to expand and permits more blood to flow in. The first thing I did was to tell her to stay on her nitro patch. Then, I prescribed the homeopathic medication, ignatia. Ignatia is an excellent remedy for conditions caused by grief, especially insomnia. Next, I explained to her that blood flow was not just a matter of how big the arteries are. It is also a matter of how thick the blood is. Thick blood is like oil on a cold day. It can't flow well, and tends to clog. That's why the doctor had placed her on an aspirin twice a day. To keep her blood thin and flowing well, I prescribed two treatments. First, I put her on a boiled vegetables-only diet. Absolutely no fat or protein. Dietary fat and protein thickens the blood for several hours after eating, and this was not a good idea for her at this time. Second, I had her take the following supplements three times a day: one fish oil capsule, 120 mg of gingko biloba extract, 100 mg of nat-
tokinase, and two cayenne capsules. All of these remedies work in different ways to thin out the blood. Then I stopped the aspirin. No need to take aspirin now that she was on this therapy. The last thing she needed was an aspirininduced ulcer.
Heart Disease Vanished I also started June on regular CheZone treatments twice a week when she came to see me. Within three weeks, she had lost 10 pounds and her blood pressure was 116/66. She was sleeping better, and had more energy. Better yet, her angina pains never returned. I told her to stop the nitro patches, because I didn't think she needed them anymore. Two months later, I sent June to a cardiologist for evaluation. Although she felt great and had lost 17 pounds, I wanted to make sure she was ready to start exercising. The cardiologist performed a stress test and an echocardiogram. The results? Perfect. No signs of heart disease at all. She was given full permission to start a regular exercise program. It is now seven years later. I see June once a year just to make sure that she is taking good care of herself. And she is. The key to her program is a combination of monthly chelation treatments combined with a personalized diet and an exercise program. She remarried two years ago, and told me she has never been happier.
and suffer a heart attack or a stroke.
(immune system), and more.
And guess what? Your arteries aren’t the only part of your body that will benefit from a healthy cell regeneration program.
If you improve the way your body uses oxygen and creates energy, you are going to grow even healthier new cells. The result? Instead of older, stiffer, clogged arteries, you can grow new arteries as smooth as a baby’s. And have a new and improved body in just months! Q
There are other critical cells and tissues that will also regenerate every few months, and get even better than before. This includes your muscles, bones, connective tissue, red blood cells (that carry oxygen to the cells in your body), white blood cells

The Best Supplements for Treating Diabetes You probably already know that supplements can help diabetes. But which ones are the most important? Here are the ones that I’ve found to be essential for my diabetes patients. Almost all of my diabetic patients have seen tremendous results using these. Chromium piccolinate — Chromium is an important element in your glucose tolerance factor (GTF). GTF is made up of chromium, niacin, and the amino acids cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine, and works in tandem with insulin to regulate blood sugar levels. In all my years of testing patients, I’ve almost never found any of them to have optimum levels of chromium. And, while most of them take chromium, most of them don’t take enough. I suggest a dose of 1,000 mcg to 3,000 mcg daily. Alpha lipoic acid — Serves a central role in fat metabolism. It is critical for the production of acetyl-coenzyme A from fat. Acetyl-coenzyme A is the substance that kick starts the energy production cycle. In the event of a deficiency of this enzyme, lactic acid levels rise in the body and can lead to lactic acidosis — a potentially life-threatening condition. Lipoic acid is important for preventing the onset of diabetes, improving blood sugar control, reducing the incidence of cataracts in diabetics, preventing kidney damage (which is a common diabetes complication), and it also helps prevent peripheral neuropathy (which is common in diabetics). Many cases of diabetic neuropathy can be improved and even cured using 400 mg, three times a day. In the absence of neuropathy, I recommend doses of 400 mg two times a day. I consider lipoic acid an absolutely essential part of any treatment or prevention strategy for diabetes. Niacinamide — This is a specific form of niacin. It doesn’t cause the flush so common with niacin. Niacin is a nutrient all of us should get more of. For diabetics, it's one of the most important nutrients for maintaining proper fat metabolism and correct triglyceride levels. I have my patients
take a minimum of 100 mg of niacinamide a day. Preferably 500-1,500 mg daily. L-Carnitine — L-Carnitine works in combination with fat molecules, lipoic acid, and acetyl-coenzyme A to penetrate the membrane of the mitochondria. Without carnitine present, cells can’t metabolize the fat molecules and get past the membrane of the mitochondria where it can be used for energy. I recommend 1,000 mg to 3,000 mg of carnitine daily. Glycyrrhiza glabra — You probably know this one as licorice. Licorice is one of my favorite herbs for my diabetic patients because of its amazing effect on exhausted adrenal glands. It contains natural precursors for the production of adrenal hormones. It works in a similar way to the adrenal hormone aldosterone, which is often deficient in adrenal insufficiency. And it also prevents the liver from metabolizing cortisol (it can even increase cortisol levels when there’s a deficiency). In rare cases, supplementing with licorice can slightly elevate blood pressure levels. If you have hypertension, it's important to keep a check on blood pressure levels when taking licorice. In addition, licorice can also lead to a decline in potassium levels. Since most people with diabetes have depleted potassium levels, I recommend taking 300 mg of potassium daily along with 500 mg of glycyrrhiza glabra extract root, containing 16% glycyrrhizinic acid twice daily. Vanadium — Like chromium, vanadium is another trace mineral that plays an enormous role in the activity of insulin. In the form of vanadyl sulfate, it not only improves insulin resistance, but has its own insulin effect, making it especially important for people with low insulin levels. If your blood sugar control isn’t perfect and your insulin levels are lower than 10 microunits per milliliter (mU/ml), I recommend you take 50 mg of vanadyl sulphate, two to three times daily.
—6—
Gymnema sylvestre — As far as I’m aware, this is the only supplement available that has the ability to increase the pancreatic output of insulin. It does this by increasing the number of islet cells in the pancreas and actually regenerates and repairs islet cells previously destroyed by free radicals. I usually prescribe my low insulin-diabetes patients — those with insulin levels below 10 mU/ml — anywhere from 600 mg to 1,200 mg per day of gynema silvestre extract standardized to contain 24% gymnemic acids. Other herbs — I also recommend a number of herbal supplements to help
improve insulin sensitivity. One is Galega officinalis, which contains an ingredient called guanidine from which the diabetes drug metformin is produced. I give my patients 80 mg twice a day of the leaf extract that’s standardized to 20% guanylhydrazine. And the second is Mormodica Charantia, or bitter lemon. I recommend 320 mg of a 4:1 extract, twice daily. Together, these two herbs alone can have a modest effect on insulin sensitivity, but when combined with the other supplements mentioned here, they can make quite a difference.
Vitamins Coming Under Heavy Attack — Don’t Be Misled! If you supplement your diet by taking a multivitamin, you’re not alone. A little more than one-third of all Americans take multivitamins regularly. A significant amount of medical science demonstrates how smart you are for taking a multivitamin. Both the Journal of the American Medical Association and the New England Journal of Medicine have published lead articles recommending the routine use of multivitamins. So why am I telling you something you already know? Because all of this is changing. You may have seen more attacks against vitamins in the media lately. Well, you can expect even more in the coming months, with an allout assault coming next year. Here’s why: You may have heard about it already, but something called Codex Alimentarius is getting ready to change your life. Briefly put, codex is Latin for “book,” and alimentarius refers to “food.” The Codex Alimentarius refers to a book of standards, codes of practice, guidelines, and other recommendations relating to foods, food production, and food safety. The Codex Alimentarius Commission, established by the United Nations and World Health Organization in 1963, developed these standards and codes. The Commission’s stated aims are to protect the health of consumers, and ensure fair practices in the international food trade. Sounds good doesn’t it? And while that may have been why it was ini-
tially created, things are very different now. The Commission has been taken over by the pharmaceutical, pesticide, biotechnology, and chemical industries. And the last thing on their mind is your health and well being. Codex Alimentarius is scheduled to go into effect all over the world by December 31, 2009. And unless we the people avert it, buying supplements here in the U.S. will be just like buying them in Europe — impossible! What Codex wants to do is to make all vitamins, herbs, minerals, and any other supplement that you're currently using available only when produced by drug companies, and only when prescribed by a doctor. The rationale that Codex backers are going to use for this gross injustice is that these nutrients are harmful to your health, and you need to be protected from them. Thus, I can promise you that you are going to see a continuous influx of magazine articles and press releases talking about all of the supposed risks from taking natural substances. Don’t buy it! Vitamins are a vital part of your good health — I'll prove it in every issue of Real Cures. I’ll also have more to say about Codex in the coming issues of Real Cures. In the meantime, if you would like more information about it and what you can do, please visit the website www.healthfreedomusa.org. References: Multivitamins and your health: a reappraisal. Q. My doctor tells me I have metabolic syndrome. I don’t understand. I’m tall and thin. I don’t have hardly any fat on me. How can this be? And what should I do about it? — Robert H., Phoenix, AZ
Dear Robert, You’re right, it does not sound like you have metabolic syndrome. But it’s still possible. Keep in mind that the definition of metabolic syndrome varies somewhat depending on what organization is defining it. I think that most doctors use the NCEP (2001 US National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel III) to define it. And by their definition, metabolic syndrome must have at least three of the following criteria: elevated fasting blood sugar, elevated blood pressure, fat deposits around the waste, elevated tryglicerides, and depressed HDL cholesterol levels. Notice that by this definition, it is not necessary that someone be overweight in order to be diagnosed with metabolic syndrome. So let's use this definition to give you an answer to your very good question. First, if you have high blood pressure, then you must find out why, and treat the cause. Many cases will respond to a period of fasting and supplementation followed by a vegan type of diet. Especially good supplements for hypertension include magnesium citrate, fish oil, CoQ10, and l-arginine. If you have elevated blood sugar, this is always corrected with a simple lifestyle program of correct, regular exercise combined with a low carbohydrate diet. Elevated triglycerides will respond to the supplements and lifestyle changes that I just mentioned, as well as 1,500-3,000 mg of l-carnitine a day. And a depressed HDL cholesterol will often respond to the same changes along with 500-1,000 mg of niacin a day. Finally, be sure to have your salivary testosterone and estradiol levels checked. Low testosterone levels along with elevated estradiol levels are common in men with
EDITOR
metabolic syndrome. And this imbalance is often at the root of elevated triglycerides, hypertension, and low HDL.
Q. I have a question about garlic. What's the best way to consume it: raw, cooked, or capsule? I prefer to use the natural garlic as opposed to capsules, but have not been able to discover which is most beneficial. — Shirley G., e-mail Hi Shirley, Raw garlic is definitely the way to go. In this form, it's one of the best remedies for intestinal parasites and yeast. It’s also very effective for blood pressure problems and coronary heart disease. I'll never forget a patient I had once who had severe coronary artery disease, and was told by his cardiologist that he needed an immediate surgery or he would surely die. Instead he started eating a whole bulb of raw garlic a day, along with two teaspoons of cayenne pepper. After three days, his heart pains were reduced 50%, and after one month, they were gone. Three months later, his cardiologist pronounced him “cured” after he had a normal stress test. It’s a dramatic case, and that's an awful lot of garlic. But it shows you how powerful the herb is. I would recommend that you mince fresh garlic, let it soak in olive oil for about an hour, and take it that way. Start off easy, because it might take a while for your stomach and intestines to get used to it.
