Let me discuss the truth hidden behind this condemning from a perspective of a typical Japanese who once regret it already in 1980s and changed one's mind these years after a lot of personal investigation on the so-called "comfort women". (1)Are these testimonies really reliable? If testimonies have absolute reliability, I have another testimony from a Japanese side. When a Japanese lady was washing vegitables in the river, two Korean comfort women passed by her and laughed, "why can you do such a dirty work while you are beautiful? Why don't you look at us dressed with these beautiful outfits and change your mind? You are going to lead a happy life like us!" (2) What about Korean? Why don't Korean regret their own history of world-class prostitute industry? Not only US soldiers but Korean residents took advantage of comfort women along 동두천 〔東豆川〕tongduch'ŏn in the Korean war. Depriving of women from their family and sell them as merchandise, that's their history.

(3)Comfort women pimps were mostly Korean The problem of so-called "comfort women" (Ianpu) was severely discussed in Japan since 1980s. As a representive of Japanese government, Kono made a statement and apologized in 1993 for their physicological loss as comfort women. As the truth have been unraveled, however, people's interest has been lost due to small involvement by Japanese military. It turned out that Korean comfort women were torn apart from their family by Korean traders (for details go to (2)). It's their own karma. Kono lately admitted that he made a decision with only testimonies he heard at an interview with former comfort women. No evidence in literature was found after then although it turns out critical discripancies were found in their tenstimonies. The term "involvement of military" is very tricky. Japanese military at that time prepared facilities to house comfort women and have doctors see them to prevent them from VD (see (2) for details). If somebody forcefully dragged their hands into the salons, it's Korean public dealers. Of course there were a lot of applications to become comfort women on account of extraordinary sallery. They ought to have been paid that much since they provided their body far away from their home town. Anyway, foreign newspapers typically know few about the lowdown of the disputed issue. Onishi Norimitsu at New York Times should investigate it more and present solid evidences if accusing Japan's response. Otherwise people are now gossiping about you, suspecting you may be zainichi(Korean). For those who still doublt about me, I'll cite a material. (Sep.6 2004 from Chosun Ilbo) Professor Yi (李栄薫) at Seoul National University, apologized to the comfort women for sating "they were prostitutes" after avalanche of criticisms. Totalitarianization doesn't allow academia to make a free speech. Note that there are lots more scholars who were criticized because of their interpretations in favor of Japanese rule before 1945.

Really? Well, according to what I've read, it appears that the Abe administration is NOT going to revoke the Kono apology. Besides, it's funny how your government so arrogantly and stubbornly claimed that it had no involvement with this issue until Professor Yoshimi Yoshiaki publicized his findings. Your leaders then must've felt quite stupid, eh? Prostitutes? Right, that's what you WANT to believe. Even some surviving Japanese soldiers admitted raping and kidnapping Asian women. THat is why your country will never be embraced by Asia - it refuses to come clean with what it has done. Until then, expect nobody in the west (or in Asia for that matter) to sympathize with Japan for things like Hiroshima and Nagasaki (too bad Koreans died there... you Japanese were responsible for way too much death).

Abe's colleagues are tryingto revoke it. Whether Abe agrees or not is hard to tell. In speaking of history, there's no arrogance or modesty needed. History is needed to be under scientific investigation to make a statement. Yoshimi made a statement in a TV program that aired in 1997, and said there was no organized kidnapping executed by Japanese military. It's in agreement with the interpretation of Japanese government. I don't see any problem about that. If you want to make a conclusion about anything, evidences are needed with it.

you are right. those prostitute systems have existed with almost any troops in the world history. Japan was not the special case. FYI, in vietnam, US troops had whorehouses as well as Japanese. It's fair to bring its own prostitutes rather than letting soldiers' penis free to rape the local women, isn't it?

You wrote that even now Koreans "sell" their dauhters, their women, and that those WOMEN ARE low (bad?) because they come to work as prostitutes in Japan. What I am trying to say, NOBODY can say that only those (Korean) women are bad or have low morals, esp. not a (Japanese) man, because WHY these women come to Japan, it is ONLY BECAUSE (Japanese) MEN PAY for their service. (Korean) prostitues exist because there is a DEMAND on the market! MEN do cause this demand, not women themselves. A MAN MADE A PROSTITUTE, would you not agree? So, who is the bad one? Only a woman? Why blame (Korean) prostitutes only? Sure. There's a demand all the time throughout the history. Sadly men cannot resist buying women, and women cannot resist selling themselves for money. It's a universal thing. There's no noble Japanese men nor low Korean women. The news I cited about Korean prostitutes was from Australia. To sum up, there's need in Australian men who want to buy Korean women. So is UK. So is Japan. But before WWII, Korean forced women to have sex for no money and treated them as a bug, that's what I'm trying to emphasize. The women couldn't even earn money! That's totally against human rights.

Since toilet papers are so expensive nowaday, instead of wasting money on toilet papers, I utilize it with Japanese people's faces. After I wipe my sh1thole with Japanese people's faces, I flush them down in the toilet bowl. When I flush Japaneses, they bark so madly and so stupidly with their ugly faces. They really bark blatantly and it is very dusturbing to hear their barks. So far, I flushed 2,521,192 of Japanes in the toilet bowls. I clean my shithole with Japaneses people's faces because Japaneses people are much better tools than toilet papers. PS: Since Japaneses are the ugliest creatures in this planet, they look absolutely much better with excrements blended on their faces rather than nothing on them. I simply help them look better before they get flushed in the toilet bowls. Anyways, I saved a lot of money cleaning my shithole with Japanese people's faces

Japan abolished slavery and torture in Korea, built 5392 schools, and planted 900,000,000 trees. In 1895 Korea’s average life span was 24 years due to frequent famines and plagues. Japan introduced modern medicine and public health policies to wipe out famines and plagues, building at least one clinic or hospital in every town. As a result, in 1945, Korea’s average life span reached 56 years.

Japan liberated Asian countries India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, from the evil oppressions of Britain, Holland, France, and US. In these countries, the Imperial Japanese Forces are regarded as god-send forces, and they show their eternal gratitude to Japan in their national anthems. On the Independence Day of Indonesia, Indonesian soldiers dressed in the Imperial Japanese Army uniform raise the Japanese flag while Japanese military songs are played. After WW2 was over, 2000 Japanese soldiers remained in Indonesia, trained Indonesian soldiers, and fought for independence against the invasion of Holland. The battle lasted for 4 years, and 1000 Japanese soldiers perished in the battle. In Vietnam, 1600 Japanese soldiers remained there, opened a military academy for Vietnamese, trained Vietnamese soldiers, and fought for independence against the invasion of France and subsequently US. All the top Vietnamese officers during Vietnam War were graduates of this academy. WW2 in Asia, or the Great East Asiatic War, was the greatest human revolution, or holly war in history. This movement spread to African colonies as well, leading to the independence of these countries. Japan made by far the greatest contribution for the racial equality in the world since it advocated the cause at Paris Peace Conference in 1919. Japan’s proposal was crushed by Britain and US, but was later included in the UN Charter.
