0herefore, you develo( the fear conce(t. )f you have lost a cou(le of obs and reacted in a non*?hristian way, when you get to the third ob, you will (robably always be living with the nagging fear every morning that you may lose your ob. 2ou could even get a little (aranoid about it. )f the boss comes in with a different e4(ression on his face, you might think you are going to be hacked today. 6ow did that come about 2ou might think that with all these things that have ha((ened you ust can"t hel( but be that way. #ell, yes you could hel( it. )t might be an automatic res(onse now, but it was the result of these things, and how are you going to get to the solution to it 2ou are going to get to the solution by looking at yourself and acknowledging that you have been living a lifestyle of human view(oint reactions to the situation. 0he solution then comes when you begin to see things from a divine view(oint and then react in line with that and begin to build u( good things/ (atience, kindness, love and so forth come under this ca(tion. )t ust de(ends on what controls and what choices we make. Father, we"re thankful for 2our word. #e (ray that we will recogniCe that we cannot really obey it as we should until we recogniCe that 2ou have made us as res(onsible (eo(le and that 2ou have given us the actions that we are to take% 2ou have given us the reactions that we are to have in good situations. 2ou have told us how to react when we are mistreated and we (ray today that you will further today, through the study of 2our word, o(en our eyes to the truth here so that we can begin to react and res(ond in harmony with the will of od. #e ask this in ?hrist"s name.

#e have been looking at 5 of the four conce(ts about our reactions. emember that our reaction (resu((oses that there is a stimulus of some ty(e and that we are res(onding to it. #e are talking about our res(onses and reactions. First, we noted that com(laining is one of the great refuges from res(onsibility. Second, and e4tremely im(ortant, is that our reactions are determined by internal not the e4ternal. 0his is best summariCed by the statement/ 7:y wife is driving me u( a wall.8 0hat is saying that that my reaction is caused by the e4ternal, and that is not an accurate statement at all. 'n accurate statement is 7) am allowing my wife to drive me u( a wall8. #hen we say she does it to me, than we are saying that our reactions are controlled by the e4ternal. #hen you say 7) let you do this to me8 you acce(t res(onsibility and say that your reaction is due to the internal. 0his (rinci(le is very im(ortant because it leaves us without e4cuse. 't the same time that is not to say that the e4ternal may not (reci(itate a reaction, but it should not control it. So, an e4ternal circumstance, whether good or bad, (rovides us an o((ortunity to a reaction and the reaction is our choice. #e will do one of two things/ we will either react out of a mentality controlled by the word of od, or we will react out of a mentality that is controlled by human view(oint, which re(resents the sin nature.
