3. CAPACITOR SIZING CALCULATION The kW and kVA loading on the HV switchboards HT-201 under normal running load as per overall electrical load analysis are as follows

The present power factor of 6.6kV bus is calculated as cos Ø1 = (kW/kVA) = 21244.6/24100=0.881 The required Power Factor as per ITB is 0.9. Hence cos Ø 2 = 0.9 Total MW considering 15% future load growth = 21.2446* 1.15 = 24.43 MW
