BAB I PENDAHULUAN
I.1. Latar Belakang
Motor listrik pada bidang industri memegang peranan penting serta banyak digunakan. Hal ini dikarenakan motor listrik merupakan salah satu system s ystem peralatan yang mengubah energi listrik menjadi energi mekanis. Selanjutnya energi mekanis ini banyak digunakan untuk berbagai keperluan pelayanan beban ekonomis. Pada umumnya, motor listrik yang banyak digunakan di pabrik-pabrik adalah motor induksi tiga fasa. Pertimbangan penggunaan motor induksi dikarenakan motor tersebut mempunyai konstruksi yang sangat sederhana dan tidak mudah rusak, sehingga mudah dalam perawatan serta putaran-putaran motor relative konstan dengan perubahan beban. Di samping itu juga keandalannya tinggi dan memiliki factor daya yang sangat baik. Pada PT. Bukit Asam Unit Dermaga Kertapati Belt Conveyor adalah sarana yang digunakan sebagai alat pengangkut Batubara salah satunya yaitu Belt Conveyor BC-11 pada mesin Ship Loader. Belt Conveyor pada mesin Ship Loader adalah unit/sarana yang sangat penting, karena apabila motor penggerak di Belt Conveyor BC-11 ini rusak maka proses proses pengisian batu bara bara ke dalam tongkang tongkang akan terhambat sehingga waktu yang kita gunakan menjadi tidak efisien. Maka, sebelum memasang motor listrik tersebut kita harus menghitung dan menganalisa kapasitas daya yang akan diperlukan motor tersebut untuk menggerakkan Belt Conveyor BC-11 yang ada pada mesin Ship Loader. Oleh karena itulah, dalam kesempatan laporan akhir ini penulis memilih judul ” Analisis Daya Motor Induksi Tiga Phasa Penggerak Belt Conveyor BC-11 BC-11 pada Ship Loader di PT.Bukit Asam (Persero), Tbk unit dermaga kertapati’’.

I.3. Pembatasan Masalah
Penulis membatasi permasalahan yang akan dibahas pada laporan akhir ini dengan menitik beratkan penentuan besar kapasitas daya listrik yang dihasilkan oleh motor penggerak BC-11, besar daya mekanik yang dihasilkan oleh Gear Reducer bila bila dikonversikan ke daya listrik dan efisiensi ekonomis dari output yang dihasilkan oleh motor penggerak Belt Belt Conveyor BC-11 Conveyor BC-11 pada Ship Loader .
I.4. Tujuan dan Manfaat I.4.1. Tujuan
Adapun tujuan dari penyusunan laporan akhir ini ialah : 1. Untuk mengetahui aplikasi nyata dari sebuah motor penggerak penggerak Belt Belt Conveyor BC-11 pada mesin Ship Loader berikut Loader berikut dengan aspek-aspek pendukungnya. 2.
Untuk lebih mengetahui besar daya sebenarnya yang digunakan, sehingga terjadinya kerusakan pada motor akibat adanya beban lebih dapat terhindari.
I.4.2. Manfaat
Manfaat dari penyusunan laporan akhir ini ialah : 1. Dapat menambah pengetahuan pemahaman tentang perhitungan daya motor induksi tiga phasa penggerak penggerak Belt Belt Conveyor pada mesin Ship Loader serta aspek-aspek yang digunakan pada motor itu sendiri.

BAB II TINJAUAN PUSTAKA
II.1. Motor Induksi 3 Fasa.
Motor induksi tiga fasa atau sering juga disebut motor tak serempak (asinkron) asinkron) merupakan motor arus bolak – balik yang paling banyak digunakan dalam industri. Hal ini dikarenakan motor induksi mempunyai banyak keunggulan antara lain sebagai berikut. • Bentuknya sederhana, mempunyai mempunyai rangka yang kokoh, kuat dan tidak mudah rusak. • Harganya lebih murah dibandingkan dibandingkan dengan jenis motor lainnya dan banyak tersedia di pasaran. • Efisiensinya tinggi pada keadaan normal, tidak memerlukan sikat, sehingga rugi-rugi gesekan dapat dikurangi. • Perawatannya lebih mudah. • Pada waktu mulai beroperasi tidak memerlukan tambahan peralatan khusus. Namun, disamping hal tersebut diatas, perlu juga diperhatikan factor-faktor kekurangannya antara lain sebagai berikut. • Pengaturan kecepannya kecepannya sangat mempengaruhi efisiensinya. • Kecepatannya akan berkurang jika bebannya bertambah. bertambah. • Torsi awalnya lebih rendah daripada torsi motor DC shunt. II.2. Konstruksi Motor Motor Induksi Induksi 3 Fasa. Fasa.
Pada dasarnya motor induksi arus putar terdiri dari suatu bagian yang tidak berputar (stator) ( stator) dan bagian yang bergerak memutar (rotor). Secara ringkas stator s tator terdiri dari blek-blek dynamo yang berisolasi pada satu sisinya dan mempunyai ketebalan 0,35 – 0,5. disusun menjadi sebuah paket blek yang berbentuk gelang. Dan disisi dalamnya dilengkapi dengan dengan alur-alur. Didalam alur ini

perbedaan antara motor asinkron dengan lilitan sarang (rotor sarang atau rotor hubung pendek) dan gelang seret dengan lilitan tiga fasa. Atau dari sisi lainnya bahwa inti besi stator dan rotor terbuat dari lapisan (email) baja silicon tebalnya 0,35 – 0,5 mm tersusun rapi, masing-masing terisolasi secara elektrik dan diikat pada ujung-ujungnya. Lamel inti besi stator dan rotor bagian motor dengan garis tengah bagian luar dari stator lebih dari 1m, bagian motor dengan garis tengah lebih besar, lamel inti besi merupakan busur inti segmen yang disambung-sambung menjadi satu lingkaran. Celah udara antara rotor dan stator pada motor yang kecil adalah 0,25 – 0,75 mm, sedangkan pada motor yang besar sampai 10 mm. celah udara yang besar ini disediakan bagi kemungkinan terjadinya perenggangan pada sumbu sebagai akibat pembebanan transversal pada sumbu atau sambungannya. Tarikan pada pita (belt) atau beban yang tergantung tersebut akan menyebabkan sumbu motor melengkung. Pada dasarnya inti besi stator dan belitan rotor motor tak serempak ini sama dengan stator dan belitan stator mesin serempak. Kesamaan ini dapat ditunjukkan bahwa pada rotor mesin tak serempak yang dipasang sesuai dengan stator mesin tak serempak akan dapat bekerja dengan baik. Fungsi utama dari bodi atau frame adalah sebagai bagian dari tempat mengalirnya fluks magnet yang dihasilkan kutub-kutub magnet, karena itu beban motor dibuat dari beban feromagnetik. Disamping itu badan motor ini berfungsi untuk meletakkan alat-alat tertentu dan melindungi bagian-bagian mesin lainnya. Biasanya pada motor terdapat papan nama atau name plate yang bertuliskan spesifikasi umum dari motor.

• Sikat-sikat dan pemegang pemegang sikat.
Fungsi dari sikat adalah sebagai jembatan bagi aliran arus dari sumber. Disamping itu sikat memegang peranan penting untuk terjadinya komutasi, agar gesekan antara sikat dan komutator sehingga sikat harus lebih lunak dari pada komutator, biasanya terbuat dari bahan arang. Sikat-sikat akan aus selama operasi dan tingginya akan berkurang, aus yang diizinkan ditentukan oleh konstruksi dari pemegang sikat (gagang-sikat). Bagian puncak dari sikat diberi plat tembaga guna mendapatkan kontak yang baik antara sikat dan diding pemegang sikat. Bila sikat-sikat terdapat pada kedudukan yang benar baut harus dikuatkan sepenuhnya, hal ini menetapkan jembatan sikat dalam suatu kedudukan yang tidak dapat bergerak pada pelindung ujung. Sedangkan tiap-tiap gagang sikat dilengkapi dengan suatu pegas yang menekan ada sikat melalui suatu system tertentu sehingga sikat tidak terjepit.
• Komutator
Komutator berfungsi sebagai penyearah mekanik yang bersama-sama dengan sikat membuat suatu kerja sama yang disebut komutasi. Supaya menghasilkan penyearah yang lebih baik, maka komutator yang digunakan hendaknya dalam jumlah yang besar. Setiap belahan (segmen) komutator berbentuk lempengan. Disamping penyearah mekanik maka komutator berfungsi juga untuk mengumpulkan ggl induksi yang terbentuk pada sisi-sis i kumparan. Oleh karena itu komutator dibuat dari bahan konduktor, dalam hal ini digunakan dalam campuran tembaga.

Motor induksi rotor sangkar konstruksinya sangat sederhana, yang mana motor dari rotor sangkar adalah konstruksi dari inti berlapis dengan konduktor dipasang parallel, atau kira-kira paralel dengan poros yang mengelilingi permukaan inti. Konduktornya tidak terisolasi dari inti karena arus rotor secara alamiah akan mengalir melalui tahanan yang paling kecil konduktor rotor. Pada setiap ujung rotor, konduktor rotor semuanya dihubung singkatkan dengan cincin ujung, batang rotor dan cincin ujung sangkar yang lebih kecil adalah coran tembaga atau aluminium dalam satu lempeng pada inti rotor. Dalam motor yang lebih besar batang rotor tidak dicor melinkan dibenamkan kedalam alur kemudiandilas dengan kuat ke cincin ujung. Cincin slip dan sikat-sikat semata-mata merupakan penghubung tahanan kendali variable luar kedalam rangkaian motor. Motor rotor lilit kurang banyak digunakan dibandingkan dengan motor rotor sangkar karena harganya mahal dan biaya pemeliharan lebih besar. Belitan stator untuk kedua golongan sama, ketiga belitan fasanya dapat dibentuk dalam hubungan delta (
Δ ) maupun hubungan bintang (Y).
Pada jenis rotor sangkar badan rotor terbuat dari plat-plat berbentuk batang-batang konduktor yang dipasang miring terhadap as dalam alur yang letaknya membujur dan disatukan oleh cincin yang terbuat dari tembaga. Pada jenis rotor belitan, belit an, belitan serupa dengan belitan stator s tator tetapi t etapi selalu se lalu dalam bentuk hubungan bintang. Untuk hubungan sirkuit keluar terdapat 3 buah pasangan cincin gesek dan sikat. Biasanya hubungan keluar ini diperuntukkan bagi sirkuit tahanan start.
