A tracer study on the employability of the alumni of the Asian Institute of Maritime Studies (AIMS)
Statement of the Problem This study traced the profile variables of the r espondent alumni in terms of personal and performance factors, as well as their employability status. Likewise, it determined the usefulness or relevance of the alumni acquired education and training and further determined the relationship among profile variables and employability status. Specifically, this study attempted to answer the following questions: 1. what is the profile of the respondents in terms of the following: 1.1 Personal Variables 1.1.1 Course taken at AIMS 1.1.2 Age 1.1.3 Gender 1.1.4 Marital Status 1.1.5 Height 1.1.6 Weight and 1.1.7 Occupation of Father 1.2 Variable Performance 1.2.1 Licensure Examination Rating 1.2.2 Academic Rating 1.2.3 On-board Rating Performance 2. What is the status of employability of the respondents in terms of the following factors: 2.1 Waiting period on the first apprenticeship/ training after graduation in the preparatory course; 2.2 number of times boarding a ship 2.3 average length of service per embarkation 2.4 position/s held 2.5 Salary 2.6 job relation to the course

Based on the findings of the study, w hat measures can be proposed to improve the board performance and employability of AIMS graduates?
