A message or an information can be sent via many medias, such such as it can be telephonic, telegrams, tele grams, fax etc to the reciepient. Each such information requires a high level of security. To maintain such security and smooth completion of an anyy communication it requires more more time and human effort in manual systems.



"Chat Server" automates all the aspects stated above related to a communication in a highly secure environment.

Technology: 

The entire process will be automated using technology and to smoothen the flow flo w of information in a highly secure environment environment across the network.

The system will be created using a client-server arc architecture hitecture using the following technologies:

JDK1.6.0 - will be used as the client side and server side script ● MySQL 5.0 - used as the database server of the application Client side the application will run on the user's desktop. desktop. Each group member will have their own desktop client. The desktop clients will interface with a web server which is hosted on the Internet. Inter net. The web server in turn tur n has access to a database server also hosted online. A separate server ser ver is used for the chatand real-time capabilities of the applicatio application. n.

Module: It provides a frame to login to the chat server. After providing the userid and password the get access to his main frame.  Server Module: The server ser ver module is responsible for validating the user information. It allows allows the authorized user to get facilities provided by this application.

The proposed "Chat Server" Ser ver" is a chatting application that provides pro vides a good user interface interface with all the facilities of a chat application. Users have their user-id. User can communicate with any other user, user, who is online. User gets a list of online users. User can select any any user and send a message. Message can be formatted in terms of font style and size. He can also send some graphical emotional pictures. This application also manages the list of all online users. It also provides provides the facility of bro browser wser window to surf  simultaneous.

Advantages of proposed system: 

As the solutions is integrated and developed on the  JAV  JA VA technology so that it provides provides multi functionality services.  As all of these technologies are able to run cross platform, thus the system will ha have ve no problem being deployed on Windows, Macintosh and the various distributions of Linux.
