A Permit to Import valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issuance thereof shall be issued by the Commission only under the folloin! circumstances" a. #o duly accredit accredited ed radio radio e$uipm e$uipment ent manufac manufactur turers ers and dealers dealers ith ith valid valid %adio %adio &eal &ealer erss and and 'anuf 'anufac actu ture rer rss Perm Permit it inte intendi ndin! n! to impor importt #P* #P*+A +ACC CC*P *P#* #*& & A,&- ,&-% % APP%/*& radio communications e$uipment and their accessories and spare parts as part of their respective stocs. *1planation" 2.a states that a Permit to Import can be !ranted ith validity of 90 days from issuance by the Commission to accredited radio e$uipment manufacturers and dealers provided these dealers and manufacturers have the %adio &ealers and 'anufacturers Permit. #his is done so that out+of+stoc spare parts and accessories for a certain radio communications e$uipment can be made available a!ain hoever3 these certain e$uipments must be approved and type+ accepted. In laymans term the e$uipment should have passed the 4uality Control. 5or e1ample3 the company 6, Philippines3 needs to import a certain radio e$uipment because due to hi!h demand for the product3 it ent out+of+stoc3 so to be able to replenish their stocs of that item they they need need to impo import rt the the said said e$ui e$uipm pmen entt but but they they can can only only do this this if they they have have alre already ady accomplished their %adio &ealers and 'anufacturers Permit hich is statin! that they ant to import approved accessories3 e$uipments and spare parts since there is no more available in the country. country. Accomplishi Accomplishin! n! the permit re$uired ill !rant them the Permit to Import Import issued issued by the Commission hich means they need to import ithin 90 days upon hich the permit as issued and released because after 90 days3 the permit to import is forfeited. b. #o duly accredited radio e$uipment manufacturers and dealers ith valid %adio &ealers and 'anufactures Permit intendin! to import radio communications e$uipment 5% P7%P6*6 5 #P* APP%/A8 A,&-% ACC*P#A,C*3 provided such Permit to Import is issued for not more than five () sample units hich are sub:ect to re+e1port should such radio communicati communications ons e$uipment fail type approval and-or acceptance acceptance evaluations evaluations conducted by this Commission. *1planation" 2.b states that a Permit to Import can be !ranted ith validity of 90 days from issuance by the Commission to accredited radio e$uipment manufacturers and dealers provided these dealers and manufacturers have the %adio &ealers and 'anufacturers Permit. 6tated therein is the intention to import radio communications e$uipment for purposes of type approval and-or acceptance. #he Permit to Import is only limited to a ma1imum of sample units. #hese sample units are sub:ect to re+e1port if they fail the evaluations done to the said e$uipment. 5or e1ample3 there is a ne radio communication e$uipment manufactured by company A;C but the
said e$uipment as not yet evaluated by the Commission here in the Philippines3 thus they need to import samples for evaluation so that it ould be approved. If these samples failed the evaluation3 they are brou!ht bac to the place here they are imported from. c. #o duly authori

If compan y >3 failed to buy e$uipment approved previously by the Commission then the e$uipment bou!ht must be brou!ht bac to the country here it is imported from and thus3 no evaluation is done on the materials and e$uipment bou!ht. Commission can monitor or chec hether the company did his obli!ations and the items stated in the permit are the ones bou!ht and lastly to ensure that the process of importin! these e$uipments are le!al and documented. #hese documents can serve as a proof if the Commission ill have in$uiries about the said transaction. . %adio *$uipment dealers and manufacturers must reflect the radio communications e$uipment and-or accessories imported in their re!ular 6ales and 6toc %eports submitted to this Commission for the ne1t reportin! period coverin! the actual date of import. *1planation" All e$uipment and-or accessories should be listed on an inventory. 5or e1ample3 company @'' imported a ne telephone patch and a stereo speaer for their ne station3 the $uantity and brand of each item imported are to be listed in the inventory. #he items in the inventory should be the same ith the items ritten on the report submitted to the Commission. #his is to sho the transparency of the assets of the company and for them to monitor the chan!in! or modifyin! of e$uipment is beneficial and efficient for the company and its customers-subscribers. #his ill also serve as a record for the number of all items imported by the company. D. All radio communications e$uipment3 spare parts and-or accessories covered by a Permit to Import shall be sub:ect to the inspection of the Commissions authori
