To add a linear dimension to the half section view to show the part's thickness, do the following: Object snap to the top two corners. 1. Open Multiple_Dimensions.dwg. 2. On the Annotate tab, click Dimension panel > Multiple Dimensions. On the Parallel tab, under Type, select Baseline. Set alignment to Inside Out. Click OK. 3. To add baseline dimensions to the lower left view: In the drawing window, select all of the geometry in the lower left view. Select the origin at point 1. 4. Move the cursor to the left until the dimensions are displayed in red and snap into place. Click to place the dimensions. Press ENTER to end the command. 5. To begin adding a set of symmetric dimensions, on the Annotate tab , click Dimension panel > Multiple Dimension. 6. To set the type and select the geometry: Click the Shaft/Symmetric tab. Set the Type to Symmetric. Click OK. Select the contour at point 1. Press ENTER. 7. To specify the point of symmetry and position the dimensions: Select the centerline at point 2. Move the cursor until the dimensions appear horizontal and in red. Select near point 3. 8. To add an additional dimension to the set of symmetrical dimensions, object snap to the
