At the end of this article I have included 3 charts and an explanatory note, as follows: 1. A Chart (Series 4) that lists the titles of the 10 Six Minute Talks with the corresponding Talk Number. These Scripts or Articles could be read or downloaded from ScribD 2. A Chart (Series 3) that lists out the series of talks that covers the subject ‘Muslim History’ or ‘Islamic History’ . This interesting subject is covered in two approaches. One set of talks (Talk No’s 114 & 116) are an outline of what happened, and The second lot of talks (Talk No’s 117 to 119) is a description of the reaction of the Muslim world or the Muslim Populace to the changes or the social tribulations that were taking place right throughout this history. 3. A Chart (Series 2) that lists out the 16 Talks (or Episodes) under the series ‘Knowing Allah Ta’aalah or Knowing GOD’ These Scripts or Articles too could be read or downloaded from ScribD 4. Notes to these talks or to these scripts/ articles
The main objective of these talks (and therefore the scripts of these talks), is to stimulate thinking. Sensible, rational and logical thinking. So, my message, think, think & think! Be sensible, be rational and be logical.
Dear Friends,
There are some interesting lessons to be learnt from reading Aayath No 179 of Surah A’raaf. Let me read this Aayath.
We must learn step by step, so let me first read only the beginning of the Aayath.
(7:179) Surely We have created for Hell a lot of people from among Jinn and mankind.
Now does this Aayath not indicate that there is some commonality between the evils of Jinn and the evils of man? Now to all of us the Jinn and Man are two completely different creations.
(15:26) Indeed We created man from a ringing clay made of decayed mud.
(15:27) As for the Jānn (the first Jinn), We had created him earlier from the fire of the scorching wind.
﴾﴿ ﴾﴿
So how could it be that our evils and our c rimes are similar and categorized together? So let us see what is common between the Jinn man or the Jinn and Insaan. First let us see what is the Allah’s purpose or objective of creating Jinn and Insaan.
(51:56) I did not create the Jinns and the human beings except for the purpose t hat they should worship Me.
﴾﴿
So we have a common purpose. Both the Jinn and Insaan, which is mankind, have been created to worship Allah. Now what does Allah mean by worship? Surely we should find out. Surely Allah would have described it in the Quran.

Surah Zumar
﴾﴿
(39:17) So, give the good news to the ghibaadhi (those who worship me)
(39:18) who listen to what is said, then, follow the best of it. Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones who possess understanding.
﴾﴿
So worship or ibaadhath would be to listen to the Quran and follow the most beautiful instruction. How do we do that? How should the Jinns do that and how should we do that? Let me read Aayath 179 of Surah A’raaf.
I shall read the whole Aayath, this time. (7:179) Surely We have created for Hell a lot of people from among Jinn and mankind. They have hearts wherewith they do not understand, eyes wherewith they do not perceive, and ears where with they do not listen. They are like cattle. Rather, they are much more astray. They are the heedless.
﴾﴿
So does that not mean that both the Jinn and the Insaan have special faculties which they must use. Not using them properly would result in the penalty of Hell. What are these faculties? In this Aayath we are told that both Jinn and Insaan have a ‘Qalb’ through which they must understand, ‘Aghyun’ or eyes through which they should perc eive and ‘Azaanun’ or ears through which they should listen. So then worship or Ibaadhath could mean that we should use Azaanun to listen, use our Aghyun to perceive and our Qalb to understand and then decide the most beautiful course of action.

Surah Zumar
﴾﴿
(39:17) So, give the good news to the ghibaadhi (those who worship me)
(39:18) who listen to what is said, then, follow the best of it. Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones who possess understanding.
﴾﴿
Interesting isn’t it?
Finally let me read this very informative Aayath.
(16:78) Allah has brought you forth f rom your mothers’ wombs when you knew nothing,
and He made for you ears, eyes and conscience, so that you may be grateful.
﴾﴿
May Allah Ta’aalah guide us all and accept us all.
Jazza Kalla Khairan. Assalamu Alaikum

Please Note 1. I have had the great privilege, (since Aug 2010), of presenting talks on the weekly Radio Program ‘Culture of Islam’ [Friday 5.30 to 6.00 am, Radio Sri Lanka - FM 97.4 ] 2. Since these are Radio Talks, I refer to, or address the audience as ‘listeners’ 3. I am well aware that the audience to these talks would consist of people belonging to a variety of faiths. So as to make people of all faiths feel included, I very often use words and names that are common to all religions. 4. For these reasons, I use the name GOD, as well as Abraham, Moses, Jesus etc as well as the names Allah, Ibrahim (Alaihis Salaam), Moosa (Alaihis Salaam), Easa (Alaihis Salaam) etc 5. Muslims by habit usually say ‘Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam’, when the name of Prophet Muhammad is mentioned, and ‘Alaihis Salaam' when the name of a Prophet is mentioned. However, in these series of talks I have reduced the use of these prayers & sayings to the bare minimum. 6. Muslims, also by habit, use a number of Arabic prayers or sayings, such as Alhamdulillah, Insha Allah and so on. Again, I have reduced the use of these prayers or sayings to the bare minimum. 7. Sometimes I have to write Arabic words in the English script. I have devised my own way of writing Arabic in English, as follows;
