1. Place the “safety” “safety” in the on on safe position position and check to make sure the rifle is completely unloaded. 2. Insert the Mounting Mounting Block into the rear rear of the fore-end fore-end extension (Figure 2). 3. Secure the Mounting Block into the extension extension using three countersink countersink screws. Start all three screws. Tight Tighten en the bottom screw first, then the two side screws using a torque driver set to 20 in.-lbs.
6. Start the two two top screws into the matching matching threaded threaded holes on the the thread adapter as shown in Figure 5. Leave the screws very loose. 7. Align the rails rails on the rifle rifle and the the extension, then then tighten the the top screws to 30 in.-lbs. using the torque driver. A MIL-STD 1913 polymer rail guard or other clamping accessory may be used to help ensure the rails remain aligned. 8. Tighten Tighten the bottom clamp screws as as shown in Figure Figure 6 to 20 20 in.-lbs. using using the torque driver. Periodically check the screws that secure the fore-end extension, and any accessories on your rifle, to ensure they are tight. You may also choose to install the fore-end extension using a removable, semi-permanent semi-permanent threadlocker such as Loctite® 242 to help prevent the mounting hardware from loosening.
