Project Integration Management Hydrographic Survey is carry out along Pantai Lido using Total Station instrument for positioning. Few suitable control stations were established established on-shore. These control stations must be insight with each
other. There are two types of control stations, which is vertical and horizontal control. For vertical control, tidal observation is made to transfer trough leveling, so tha t control stations could be established. The leveling gives out correction to the echo sounder. Meanwhile, for the horizontal control, the positions (coordinates) of the control stations are ac hieved by making traverse. Plan Development: Type of survey work to be done, survey route, cover of area Project Plan Execution: Type of control during carry out the project, on-shore and off-shore Overall Change Control: Instrument used, no. of personnel, control stations, sounding lines and
intervals, working hours/days, cost of project.
Project Scope Management
Initiation: Survey area : Pantai Lido , area a rea dimension ; 600x500, starting point of survey from the base station Scope Planning: Horizontal Control Positioning, Vertical Control Positioning, Sounding lines & intervals Scope Definition: Bathymetric survey using intersection method Scope Verification: 3 control station established (intervisible between stations) Scope Change Control: Survey duration ; working hours/days, cost budget, bathymetry data
Project Time Management
Activity Definition: Bathymetric survey using intersection method Activity Sequencing: Horizontal Control Positioning, Vertical Control Positioning, Sounding lines &intervals Activity Duration Estimating: 3 days Schedule Development: Day 1 = Control and sounding lines establishment. Day 2 = Bathymetric survey Day 3 = Spare day Schedule Control: Schedule updates and corrective action needed during activities.
Project Cost Management
Resource Planning: People= 6 person Equipment & materials = Total station, Prism, Tripod, Walkie Talkie, Single beam echo sounder, Transponder, Flag, Vessel, Leveling equipment and Bar check Cost Estimating & Budgeting: RM 12 000 Cost Control: Controlling cost changes in bathymetric survey
Project Quality Management
Quality Planning: Intersection positioning, Horizontal Control Positioning, Vertical control Positioning, Sounding lines &interval Quality Assurance: range-bearing technique, single echo sounder, a total station Quality Control: line spacing interval, survey speed or speed of the boat
Project Human Resource Management
Developing the human resource plan involves the use of organisation charts and position descriptions, networking and organisational theory to determine the app roach that will be taken to managing people inside the project team.
There are four major processes in the hydrography survey: 1. Develop the human resource plan. 2. Acquire the project team. 3. Develop the project team. 4. Manage the project team. Project Communication Management
The communications needs and expectations for the hydrography project, how and in what format information will be communicated, when and where each communication will be made and who is responsible for providing each t ype of communication. A communication management plan can be formal or informal, highly detailed or broadly framed, based on the requirements of the project stakeholders. The communication man agement plan is contained in, or is a subsidiary plan of, the project management plan.
Project Risk Management
The risks in the hydrography survey are likely to affect the project. It is involve the possibility of suffering harm or loss. The risk need to be identified so that we can find the solution to face and avoid the risk. The things are: i.
Process of the survey
ii. Checklist of tool iii. Cost estimate iv. Team involve in the survey
The team need to prepared with the corrective action and control the risks. They have to plan the alternative strategies to face the risks.
Project Procurement Management
In the hydrography project, it necessary to p rocess and acquire product or services needed from outside the project team such as equipment and the boat. The process involves the planning, choosing a source of acquire product, administering the contract and closing out the contract. The team must understand the procurement process and the contract term and condition. They must be prepared with the risks and incorporate m itigation and allocation of risks into the contract.
