Your Personal Qi Diary By He Luo You see, at first, Qi to most people may appear nothing more than a concept. Wait what happens after they lost their keys one day, only to have them resurface nine days later. Or you experienced two divorces, exactly nine years apart. But even people who took up Nine Star Ki some time ago seem to have problems recognizing the patterns of Qi. This is probably because we sometimes anticipate on major events, overlooking tiny experiences perhaps, or we simply did not learn how to link Qi to events. But, Qi can be in the seemingly unsignificant things on a normal day, like the arguments you and your spouse go through, as there is a pattern to your quarrelings too. I bet you argue with your partner each nine days. This little survey will show you, YES, there is a pattern to everything you do. You just need a tool to learn how to recognize. There are many tools to do personal forecasting, like Nine Star Ki, Pillars of Destiny, Zi Wei Dou Shu and so on, but let’s concentrate on Nine Star Ki. You will have a waxing and waning to your energy level. You may feel drawn toward physical labor for a few days, whereas some days later you may be inclined more emotionally. Not just this, it may occur to you that even certain events in your life follow a reoccuring path of nine days, months and years. In order for you to recognize this, you may start by keeping your own Qi diary, say for a month or three. This document will help you to make that start, but we’ll keep it simple. What we will do is first show you some of the more typical properties of the nine Houses in the magic square and give you some forms that you can print out. Then, you will find there is a pattern to everything you experience, as long as you know how to look for it. I will feel that it is a 1 Water day immediately upon waking up in the morning, without me having looked at a calendar. I do not need a calendar anymore for me to know what is a good day or an off day. On an off day, I feel I am quarreling with Qi, with Time and Space, so to speak. On such days Time, Space and me are not on speaking terms. Using the 7 Metal year of 2002 and just a few selected examples, I am sure you will be able to extend what was given here for all months and days. Examples used are for 1 Water and 2 Earth. The rest is up to you, as it is fairly easy to get a grip of Nine Star Ki forecasting. Even if you are a beginner reading this, you can come along. Your journey through the Houses of the Luo Shu will show you days that you feel typically: -
strengthened. controlled. in control. drained.
On off-days you may feel Time and Space challenged:
You wake up and you think ‘u-oh’. You can’t get even your simplest ideas across. You leave home too late. You left home right on time, but the train is late. Your second train is delayed. Anyway, from all of this you miss your appointment. You are a boy in the toilet, thinking “I wish I was a girl, so I could sit”. You are a girl and think “Gosh, am I glad I am not a guy” (right, you would need to stand). Things keep dropping out of your hands (and coffee cup). You can’t seem to get through to people, hey blame them, today you can’t seem to get through to yourself even. Your quarrels don’t make sense, they are about nothing really. People tell you ‘no’, where you are sure they would tell you ‘yes’. Your shoulders easily reach the size of a double matrass, but people walk over you in the streets, no-one seems to notice you. You notice some nasty letters in your mail-box. ….
So, for you to find out, when are your off-days. Is this when your Number is in the 1 Water House, is it when your Number is opposite the 5 Earth, or when your Number visits the 8 Earth anywhere in a Luo Shu. Altough certain general assumptions can be made, you will have your own dynamics. But, whenever your top days or low days, you will find the path you follow is consistent. Once you found out your personal pattern, this may save you a lot of trouble, time and energy. That is the purpose of this essay. So, let’s first go over some of the properties of the Luo Shu Houses again. After we did this, we will concentrate on the Numbers 1 Water and 2 Earth for the year 2002. From there on, it is between you and your amazement. 2002 6 Metal is in the 4 Wood House for 2002, opposite 8 Earth in the 1 Water House. Travel and moving away from home. Involved in writing, possibly moving house or legal matters.
9 Fire House Old patterns may re-emerge. Your presence will be noticed. Reputation and sales are good. Good for initiatives.
2 Earth House Good for studies, consolidation, family matters. Re-establish knowledge. Prepare for next month/year.
2002 2 Earth is in the 9 Fire House for 2002, opposite 3 Wood in the 1 Water House. Strong decisions are possible. Do not hesitate on initiative.
2002 4 Wood is in the 2 Earth House for 2002, opposite 1 Water in the 8 Earth House. Changes related to your study, family life.
3 Wood House Impulsive energy will lead to initiative. Highly creative. Aggressive. Inventions, computer. Don’t doubt your plans when in this House.
5 Earth House Your energy becomes central, rendering many opportunities. May come with decisive events. Think before act, take time out of your agenda and flow along.
2002 5 Earth is in the 3 Wood House for 2002. 5 Earth people will receive letters on days when 4 Wood visits their Number
2002 7 Metal is in the 5 Earth House for 2002, tapping Qi similar to Qi at birth. Re-assess your goals. You’ll spend much time in your home.
8 Earth House House of decision and change. Burning of old ships. Things may come to conclusion. Events around built structures. Moving house, inheritence.
1 Water House Mostly time for withdrawal. Contemplation, self-reflection. Avoid important decisions. Avoid important enterprises.
6 Metal House Good for career and authority. People trust your judgement. Time for ethics and self-discipline. Harvest, get elected or promoted.
2002 3 Wood is in the 1 Water House for 2002, opposite 2 Earth in the Fire House. Careful around marriage and family life. May have dificulty around studies.
2002 8 Earth is in the 6 Metal House for 2002, opposite 6 Metal in the 4 Wood House. Strongly career related. Selfdiscipline.
4 Wood House House of trade, travel, art. Initiatives will root and expand. Creativity, socially engaged.
2002 1 Water is in the 8 Earth House for 2002, opposite 4Wood in the 2 Earth House. Shift in family matters. Dietary change, spiritual shift.
7 Metal House Good for finance, romance. Realization of dream and reputation. Credibility. 2002 9 Fire is in the 7 Metal House for 2002, opposite 5 Earth in the 3 Wood House, so caution. New idea will cost money. Temporary family split.
1 Water Your Number is visited by 1 Water Shown in this example is a situation where 1 Water visits the House in which your Number resides for the year. However, 1 Water could also visit your Number in the House your Number resides in for a month. Qi of 1 Water approaches you, so the initiative is with 1 Water. In general this may mean. Someone wants to be romantically, sexually, involved with you. You will meet someone who wants to contemplate with you. A certain given situation may impose contemplation upon you. A 1 Water person will approach you, by phone, letter, e-mail, visit you.
