I don’t have much free time. After school I help my dad. He’s a mechanic. I like learning about cars. I haven’t got any special hobbies but I like listening to music and making CDs for my friends.
Tzu-Lee
People think that teenagers have a lot of free time, but it’s not true. We get a lot of homework. But this term I want to go to an after-school club and do drama or go riding. I think it’s important to do different things, not just study, study, study all the time. Teenagers have a hard life! We have lots of free time and there are many activities for pensioners in our town. On Mondays we play chess. On Tuesdays we go dancing. On Thursdays we go swimming. On Fridays we do gymnastics! We sometimes go on coach trips to different places or visit museums. We’re never bored. It’s not a bad life!
Jack
I’m a working mum so I don’t have much free time. When I come home I cook the dinner, watch a bit of TV and go to bed. At the weekends I like spending time with my Kids. We go bowling or cycling if the weather’s nice. I like walking too, but the children always say it’s boring! Jack’s mum

An unusual job My name is Adam. I work as a living statue or street statue. It’s not an active job, but it’s a good way to earn money and watch the world at the same time. You must be patient, ft and strong. It’s not easy to stay still for hours and hours. I usually work for two hours in one place, then I go and fnd a new place.
In the photo I’m working in the street. I’m dressed as a typical Englishman. I’m standing on a platform. There’s a small box on the platform. People usually watch me for a few minutes and then put some money in the box. But some people are very irritating. They don’t give me any money.
Instead, they touch me or they talk to me. I never answer, but sometimes I want to laugh. I don’t only work in the street. I also work in restaurants and cafés to attract customers. I sit at a table like a customer or stand like a waiter. I work at birthday parties and other special events, too. My job is not boring because I often change my appearance. I’m sometimes a cowboy or a Roman emperor or Charlie Chaplin. Of course I don’t always want to be a street statue. One day I’d like to be a movie actor. Then, at least I can move!
