THRILLER Vocabulary Lurking: waiting, sometimes hiding, in order to frighten or attack someone Sight: a person or place that is very unusual, untidy, or unpleasant to look at Strike: attack Slam: a sudden loud noise Wonder: ask yourself questions All The While: for all of a period of time Creepin’ Up: surprising someone by moving closer to them without them seeing or hearing you Against: in opposition to Masquerade: behaviour that is intended to prevent the truth about something unpleasant or not desirable from becoming known Jaw: the lower part of your face which moves when you open your mouth There’s Demonds: informal there are demonds Unless: except if Cuddle: to put your arms around someone and hold them in a loving way for affection or comfort Thrill: make someone feel extremely pleased Dare: be brave enough to do something difficult or dangerous that you have no right to do Crawl: move slowly or with difficulty, especially (of a person) on hands and knees Hound: a dog used for hunting Corpse: a dead body, usually of a person Stench: a strong unpleasant smell Ghoul: an evil spirit that eats dead bodies Doom: death, destruction or any very bad situation that cannot be avoided Seal Your Doom: nothing can stop your death to happen
