The difference lies in the detail and Frame has been designed and engineered under that same principle. Frame has a design that suits the urban lifestyle where the kitchen has a strong central role. The positive lines and the rounded corners give a modern and harmonious appearance. Frame sinks are a magnificent design, where the 3 different corner radius measurements that help define this sink series coexist in perfect harmony. The constant pattern is 10 mm radius on the outside, 25 mm radius in the vertical panels of the bowl and 15 mm radius at the bottom. That’s it. That’s the secret. It’s a rule extended to all accessories designed for the Frame series. The stylish glass table, the rinsing basket and the wooden chopping board, have all become more than just functional accessories. They complement perfectly the Frame design as everything has been created as a united concept. Coupled with the accessories are items such as taps, popup buttons and soap dispensers, and their design also helps to keep a close relationship between the forms.

This kitchen sink would not be complete without a tap. Both products are strongly related as they must work hard and together. Two new models have been designed to fit the frame concept, as we consider products not as sinks and taps, but as cleaning centers.

Stainless steel is the primary material in modern kitchen design. Its corrosion resistance and hygienic properties make it ideal for sinks and appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers and tumble dryers.

Stainless steel has a self-healing surface The reason for stainless steels high corrosion resistance is the so-called "passive layer" that forms on its surface. This layer is characterised by a selfrepair mechanism, which is the secret of its outstanding durability.

The elegant glossy white glass table can be used as a cutting table or as serving tray. The feet lift it up from the sink drainer surface and give a good grip.

The wood chopping board fits the two biggest bowls. It easily slides through the bowl and drainer area for comfortable use.

Stainless steel has a unique feature: it is self healing. Due to the alloy elements in the stainless steel, a thin, transparent "passive layer" is formed on its surface. Even if the stainless steel surface is scratched or otherwise damaged, this passive layer, which is only a few atoms thick, instantaneously reforms under the influence of oxygen from water. This explains why stainless steel does not require coating with corrosion protection to stay bright and shiny, even after decades of use.

The custom-made rinsing basket is really a functional accessory as you can use the bowl and the colander at the same time.

The drain grating follows the design of the kitchen sink and it is extra big. The extra squared size makes it easy to gather and throw away the peel of potatoes or fruit.

The radical design, based on the well-known Linea series, gets in the Radea sinks a perfect balance between outstanding design and practicality and user friendliness in the kitchen. The appearance of the sink maintains a clean-lined aesthetic, following today's kitchen and appliance design, but the construction of the basins is slightly different than what it is expected. The sink walls are completely flat, always forming right angles, but the intersections between them are made with a constant 10 mm radius, both in the lateral wall unions and in the unions between the walls and the base. Another differentiating aspect of the Radea series is its extra shiny finish, which highlights the sink's aesthetics by reflecting light details created by the constant 10 mm radius off opposing walls.

These magnificent bowls are based on the Radea series and represent the best in sink technology thanks to their 10 mm radius. These bowls are undermounted beneath a safety glass surface, which acts as a standard drainer with a gentle slope.

The Teka innovative LED system allows you to select the colour of the glass drainer. There is no need to reveal all your secrets right away, keep this one as a surprise for your guests.

A soft touch in the squared area on the drainer will activate an integrated warming device up to 70°C, improving the drying of the plates and crockery placed above it. This innovative function is also very useful as a hot zone to warm dishes before being used or to keep the food ready to serve after being cooked.

The design of this series has an added extra function of a basket for washing and drying fruits and vegetables. The advantage: dirt and water drain directly from the complimentary bowl and not – as usual – to the main bowl of the sink. The chopping board, made out of glass, is designed to slide on a rail in order to cover the main bowl, thereby enlarging the working area of the sink. The entire time, safety has been taken into consideration. The chopping board is made out of safety glass and is resistant to high temperatures.

The special design of the drainer enables the safe placing of delicate plates and glasses. This new preparation and washing area from Teka is multifunctional and offers many possible uses. Its shape follows the principle useful functions in a kitchen: a main bowl, a complimentary bowl and a drainer. Thus allowing excess liquids to drain rapidly from the complimentary bowl, wash a glass and there after you can safely place it onto the comfortable drainer leaving the sink ready for a new use. Kitchen sinks have been manufactured in a wide variety of materials, from wood up to the latest composites. Each has its benefits, and the right one for you will depend on your needs. All sinks, no matter which material you select, will eventually show signs of wear and tear, but they should also be able to withstand the rigours of everyday use for a very long time.

Stainless steel technology

The most popular material for kitchen sinks today is stainless steel. Note, however, that not all stainless steel sinks are the same. The first thing to look at is the chrome and nickel ratio. Chrome increases hardness and wear resistance, and provides the stainless steel with lustre and durability. Nickel increases strength and improves shock resistance.

The thickness of the stainless steel is probably the main point to check when buying a sink. The thicker the steel, the less susceptible it is to denting, bowing, noise, temperature changes and the hard knocks of pots and pans. Teka sinks are available in several stainless steel thickness depending on the model.

The stainless steel is non-porous, superbly hygienic, rust-free, heat resistant and extremely durable. Only well-known brands use this premium quality stainless steel as standard in their production process, giving a lifetime guarantee that your stainless steel sink will not chip, flake or, of course, crack or break.


The chrome-nickel grade is not only important for durability. Some stainless steel sinks look bright and shiny at first, but soon rust and corrode because the combination of chrome and nickel is not exactly right.

Stainless steel thickness

Stainless steel finishes Most Teka stainless steel sinks have what is called a polished finish. This elegant finish creates an enduring, easy-to-clean lustre that is impervious to water stains and calcium deposits. The polished finish requires numerous hand and machine buffing operations which produce a beautiful lustre design. For those who prefer a brushed appearance, another option is the normal satin finish. Abrasive grinding produces a uniform pattern of satin finish lines on the metal surface. Teka stainless steel sinks are also available in linen or microtextured finishing, which offers an attractive high relief pattern on the sink’s surface. This exclusive finish is also made from ‘surgical’ stainless steel, i.e. with all the characteristics of stainless. The stainless steel hard-plus finishing gets better result indeed than the standard stainless steel thanks to the special treatment applied to the surface that improves the hardness and the resistance against scratches, making it an ever lasting perfect piece of design in the kitchen.

Sink configuration Even though the bowl (number, size, depth, shape) is the main feature of the sink, it is not the only thing to bear in mind. You have other options that can make your sink more user-friendly and provide you with a nicer working area. Drainers extend your working area and allow easy clean-up as well as food preparation. They will also keep the work surface clean and dry. Teka colander bowls are available in either half or quarter bowl sizes. They can be used for rinsing, draining, straining and clean-up. Whatever your sink space, a colander bowl will give you another functioning utensil. Relationship between sink size and capacity Bowl depth, taper and radius are the three basic measurements for comparing sink sizes. Depth, of course, is the distance from the top of the rim to the bottom of the sink at the point nearest the drain. Bowl taper is the inward slope of each side of the sink from the rim to the bottom. Radius is the measure of the bowl’s corners and bottom where the sides and bottom meet.

There are several systems available but the most common are soundabsorbing pads and undercoating. The main advantages of this special feature are that it absorbs sound, protects against condensation build-up inside kitchen furniture and helps to maintain sink water temperature. Most Teka sinks offer sound-absorbing pads as standard.

It is a comfortable and secure way of packing the sinks for its sale in big stores. The accessories are sold separately. Although the sink is not inside a carton box, the protection around the sink perimeter is good enough.

Five pieces bundle Specially thought for sinks that have to be delivered far away and when saving space is a must, this way of packaging makes the loading of goods more competitive. The sinks are covered by a plastic bag and the corners are also protected with carton. The accessories of the sink are sold separately.

Kitchen sinks were traditionally of the ‘drop-in’ type, that is, with the rim of the sink sitting on the work surface. Teka drop-in sinks can be mounted on virtually any worktop using Teka clip-and-bolt fasteners, which adjust to the thickness of the surface for a tight, non-slip fit. The sink is fastened to the worktop from underneath, so no screws or bolts show. The drop-in design has a small rim to stop water spilling onto the work surface. Some drop-in sinks can also be undermounted using special undermount clips.

Undermount With solid counter tops of marble and granite or modern composite materials, undermounting the sink has become a popular option. The Teka undermount sink is mounted and caulked from underneath using the special clips provided. Undermounting gives the sink and surrounding area a much sleeker appearance. It prevents dirt from getting trapped around or below the rim and it is absolutely waterproof when installed correctly.

Knives Timeless. Elegant. Like fine silver, its beautiful finish gains with age and use. But this does not mean we can neglect the care of this essential kitchen item. As a rule, stainless steel’s best friend is cold, clean water or a mild detergent solution, applied with a soft sponge, rinsed well and wiped dry. Here are some of the products or elements that can damage your sink:

Chlorides Chlorides are found in almost all soaps, detergents and cleaning products and can be damaging to stainless steel. They are water soluble, however, so if you rinse away residues after each use, a weekly scouring is all that is needed to keep your sink looking bright and shiny.

Scratches Like most metallic surfaces, your stainless steel sink will scratch. Don’t worry, these are simply usage marks which will eventually blend into the overall finish of the sink.

Your sink is designed to serve as many things but not as a chopping board. This type of use will cause deep scratches in its surface, and will also blunt your knives. For an additional work area, choose from our wide range of chopping boards.

Water Quality The quality of your water can affect the appearance of your sink. When water has a high iron content, a brown surface stain can form on the sink giving the appearance of rust. Also, in areas with a high concentration of minerals or oversoftened water, a white film may develop on the sink. To combat these problems, we suggest you wipe the sink dry after each use and give it a more thorough clean each week using a recommended abrasive product.

Foods Foods containing high levels of salt should not be allowed to dry on the sink surface. Rinse your sink thoroughly after use.

The reversibility. It refers to the possibility of being installed in either right or left versions, as the sink is totally symmetric. The presence of tap holes or pop-up system indicates the lack of reversibility. Yes (without holes)

The thickness. It’s related to the characteristics of the raw materials. It usually varies from 1 mm to 0.6 mm depending on the quality of the sink and the depth of the bowls. The measurement can also vary from the drainer to the bowls due to the manufacturing process. The finish. There are several stainless steel finishes available, according to the customers’ needs. The mechanical characteristics of the materials remain the same, but the aesthetic differs in the polishing; glossy, matt or textured finishes are available.

The pop-up. This practical system takes care of drainage from a button on the drainer surface, allowing users to empty the bowl without the unpleasant contact with hot water, detergent or small food residues. The pop-up also makes it easy to close the drain or fill the bowl with water. The packaging. Being practical and protective, the packaging is also essential as a price key factor when delivering goods from the factories. The possibility of sending bundles or pallets reduces the overall price when individual packaging is not a selling issue.

Teka colours: Reflection and refraction The Teka LED system available for most of the Linea and Radea undermount sinks will change the mood in the kitchen. This innovative illumination system is based in an acrylic glass frame that incorporates an LED system inside. Operated via remote control, the frame is illuminated and the colour ranges through the whole chromatic spectrum thanks to the selectable intensity and basic colour combinations. This surprising effect achieves even stronger intensity when the colour is reflected along the bowls and the stainless steel panels.

As consumer get more demanding in their search for aesthetic unity in the kitchen, only integral producers who are capable of providing aesthetic coherence, exclusivity and the flexibility to react quickly to changing trends are able to survive. Inset ( Drop In)

Teka lay-on sinks come in a wide range of measurements, so you can find the best fit for your cabinet size. Select between different configurations of drainers, bowls, reversible or back-stand models, overflows, tap holes, wooden frames, etc. The options are as varied as your needs. Lay-on sinks can be delivered with wood supports at the sides (below the rim) which aid installation while providing structural reinforcement.

Kitchen sinks were traditionally of the ‘drop-in’ type, that is, with the rim of the sink sitting on the work surface. Teka drop-in sinks can be mounted on virtually any worktop using Teka clip-and-bolt fasteners, which adjust to the thickness of the surface for a tight, non-slip fit. The sink is fastened to the worktop from underneath, so no screws or bolts show. The drop-in design has a small rim to stop water spilling onto the work surface. Some drop-in sinks can also be undermounted using special undermount clips.

Undermounted

Integrated ( Flush)

With solid counter tops of marble and granite or modern composite materials, undermounting the sink has become a popular option. The Teka undermount sink is mounted and caulked from underneath using the special clips provided. Undermounting gives the sink and surrounding area a much sleeker appearance. It prevents dirt from getting trapped around or below the rim and it is absolutely waterproof when installed correctly. Teka sinks come with cutting templates and easy-to-follow fitting instructions.

Probably the most perfect installation system, providing a totally seamless working area which is also aesthetically pleasing. The sink and work surfaces become one solid unit, free of awkward edges and corners. Some undermounted models can also be installed this way.

The main advantage of the working unit concept is the multiple possibilities of personalization that transform every an each of them in an individual project. Every working unit features the same inner body (585 mm. wide) manufactured from high quality wood and covered in the same high-quality stainless steel used in Teka sinks. The materials used are the only general features for this line, as nearly everything about its construction can be 100 percent customized. Best-selling designs include the following products.

The backstand can be squared or rounded (20 mm radius). You can also choose if it will be welded or folded, depending on its final use in the kitchen. The unit’s regular width is 600 mm, although it can be extended 100 mm to reach the 700 mm a measurement widely used for island concepts. The stainless steel backstand can be folded up or down depending on the desired use of the working unit.

Regarding the length, the range goes from 1000 to 3700 mm, offering a finished product every 100 mm to fit perfectly in your kitchen. Due to the popularization of taller kitchen units, the working units are also adaptable as it’s possible to select the height from 700 to 900 mm with 100 mm difference.

Wooden decorations You can also combine the use of two noble natural materials, stainless steel and the wood. By installing wood at the front of the units you get a distinctive look while giving more protection against scratches. The installation process is easy and the result combines a professional look with the warmth of the wooden. Select the wood from the available possibilities shown below.

The front view of the stainless steel countertop can be also manufactured with a 20 mm radius bevel to avoid sharp edges in the kitchen.

The unit’s lateral table, used as a leg, is made of wood and can be fully or partially covered in stainless steel. Select the width of the leg from 20 to 80 mm depending on the unit's placement in the kitchen area.

Finally, once you have complete the customization of the unit, you can use it as a working countertop or you can integrate and install kitchen appliances, washing units, include more units, install electrical outlets, recover columns, etc.

Compact units Teka has a range of appliances designed especially for those who don’t have too much space in their kitchen. In such cases, a sink unit that converts into a worktop is the ideal solution.

These compact units encompass three sections (cooking, cleaning and working areas) which can be customized. Regarding hobs can be two or 4 cooking areas in both electrical and gas versions. The configuration of the sink area depends on the combination of the bowls and drainer. Another advantage is that all models are reversible. The compact units are manufactured following the highest Teka quality standards. When fitted in a kitchenette, the rest of Teka appliances can easily be placed to create a small Teka concept.

Teka’s compact units are available in a range of sizes to fit neatly into whatever kitchen design you’ve chosen.

80% stone, 20% flexibility. Granite sinks have the hardness, resistance and appearance of natural stone, combined with the flexibility and smoothness of modern granite. They are made from natural granite and small glass particles (80%) mixed with toughened resins (15%) and pigments (5%) to form a smooth but rock hard material. This consistency is carried out in the manufacturing process, where the quartz crystals are pressed and heated until achieving a polymeric molecular state. This process provides unique mechanical characteristics that make it almost indestructible.

This sink material matches perfectly well with work surfaces, taps, accessories and appliances in general. These materials bring other key advantages like a feeling of warmth and texture whilst providing an astonishing level of durability. Brown

The Composite is a thermostatic material, with the addition of minerals, thermoplastic additives, catalysts and pigments, and it is reinforced with chopped fibreglass which provides cohesion to the composite and extraordinary resistance and elasticity against impact and mechanical stresses. The transformation is made in a warm mould (130 – 160 °C) under high pressure (120 BAR). This process is not reversible. After the material has been polymerised, it can not be melted down by high temperatures.
