Technical Information ECU Identification Identifying your ECU To identify your ECU you will need to know its generation, part number and possibl y its ROM number The ECU can be located in se!eral places" under a metal plate in the passenger#s footwell $models up to %&', in the passenger#s footwell behind a plastic panel $models %()%%' or by the dri!er#s footwell under a plastic panel $some models (***+' The computer is connected !ia three connectors that pull out when a plastic clip is pressed Remo!e the computer, and with a philips screwdri!er remo!e the metal lid from the top of the computer There may be small daughter circuit board co!ering some of the main circuitry Unscrew this and lift it out of the way
