Banks offer various products to its customers such as personal loans, home loans, savings account, credit cards and so on. It is very essential for a Bank to know, which user to target for what product and when. The goal of data analytics and data mining department is to arrive at accurate answers to these 3 questions, (Which ser, What !roduct, When", and it is a rewarding e#ercise for the $ank, $ranch and definitely to the employee as well to the e#isting and prospective customer of the $ank. The pro$lem is very simple. % customer may have purchased a single product or multiple pr oducts from a $ank. The Bank would ideally like if all its customers $ought all of its products. This possi$ility however does not e#ist, therefore without any targeting model& the Bank would $e wasting money, time and resources $y randomly targeting customers for its products. sing a little sophistication of data mining techniques, we would $e a$le to $uild a targeting model or a response model on customer $ase. % response model is a predictive model which estimates the future $ehavior of a given customer even $efore it occurs. 'ven with a fair amount of accuracy it can $e very useful for Banks in saving maority of costs in various departments)channels. There are various types of data availa$le for analysis like demographic, $ehavioral * attitudinal. The a$ove data can $e very useful in data mining methods, however the cost, usefulness and e#pertise to store ) retrieve data have to $e assessed and udged. This proect is an honest attempt to find out the techniques and methods which are useful in identifying customer needs and then formulating strategies for $usiness development $y providing complete $anking solutions * satisfaction to customers.
