INTRODUCTION OF SIR SYED AHMED KHAN: In the darkest hours of the Indian Muslims community a gereat leader arose named Sir Syed Ahmed khan; he was great Muslim scholar and reformer. He came forward to guide Muslims in education, religious, political and social expects Sir Syed was born at Delhi on 17 Oct 1817 and belongs to local and respectable family. He got his early education form his grandfather, Khawaja Fariduddi n, and served 8 years as a prime minister of mughul court. Sir Syed received his e ducation in holy Quran, Arabic and Persian literature, after this he join East India Company in 1839 as a clerk, but soon qualified for the post of munsif at fateh pur sikiri in 1841. After serving in different capacities he became a chief judge in 1846 and spends 20 years in j udicial service. Then he wrote his famous book Asar-usSanadid in1847. In 1857 he was posted at Bijnauo When the war of 1857 was brought out he save many britishers and their families even the r isk of his personal life. In I n 1877 he was appointed as the member of imperial council and he g ot a title of Sir in 1888. He got the degree of LLB from university of Eden Burgh of England in 1886.
THE BEGINNING OF ALIGARH MOVEMENT: The britishers decide to punish Muslims for the war of 1857 b/c they think Muslims were responsible for this. The Hindus who were equally responsible for the war o f 1857 were left. The Muslims lost their power as a nation. The britishers replace Persian with English which was the official language of Muslims. Muslimswere not prepared to learn English at the other hand Hindus quickly adopt it. And superseded the Muslims in the educational field. Sir syed desire to see the Muslims as a respectable nation and decided to guide them. The services which included in it is known as Aligarh moment.
THE EDUCATIONAL ASPECTS OF ALIGARH MOVEMENT: Sir syed took the steps for uplift the education of Muslims of India. In 1859 1 859 he establish school at muradabad to though Persian and English and another school school at ghaziput , he a lso setup scientific society to translate English work to Urdu. The society also publishes a journal in u rdu and English in 1866 known as Aligarh institute GAZETTE. Sir syed visited England with his son (who got scholarship) in 1869 and extremely impressed with the educational system of Cambridge and oxford university of England.

The establishment of M.A.O.H.S at Aligarh On 24 may, 1874, where modern & eastern education was given was the great achievement of Aligarh movement. In 1877 the school upgraded to college, inaugurated by Lord Lytton. This college was open for both Muslim and non-Muslims. Sir syed desire to see college raised to university which was fully filled in 1920, after his death.

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MUHAMMADAN EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE To carry the message of the refunds to refounds to the masses sir syed established e stablished muhammadan educational conference conference in 1866.
THE POLITICAL ASPECTS OF ALIGARH MOVEMENT Sir syed also help the Muslims in the field of polit ics. He advice the Muslims to keep away from the politics as long as they educate themselves. B/c the Hindus were more advanced in the field of education and politics. He told if you try to compete with Hindus in politics your present educational educational standard you will be easily easi ly over power by more advanced Hindus and will be never be able to capture your old position. He emphasizes to gain knowledge and then come to the political field and demand their rights. The Indian national congress grew up most powerful political organization. sir syed observe that congress is purely Hindu which were not ever sincere with Muslims Muslims and advice Muslims, to not join it.
THE PIONEER OF TWO NATION THEORY Sir syed was open minded, patriotic and love India very much but the attitude of the Hindus and congress however change. Sir syed wants Hindu Muslim unity. But congress always opposes the Muslims of India that disappoint sir syed. B/c in 1867 some Hindu though that Urdu should be replaced by Hindi as an official lan guage. And British declared Hindi as an official language. The Hindi Urdu controversy started. And sir syed though Hindu will never sincere to Muslims b/c their culture, civilization, religion, a re totally different.
RELIGIOUS AND SOCIAL ASPECTS OF ALIGARH MOVEMENT A Christian writer sir William wrote a book Life of Muhammad (Peace be upon him) in which he made a highly highly objection on him Muhammad (Peace be upon upon him) in response sir syed wrote a book essay on life of Muhammad. He also publish the most famous magazine Tahzeebul-Ikhlaq to guide Muslims. He also found Tahrek-E-Urdu for protection of Ur du.
CONCLUSION Aligarh movement was left its impact on every phase of Muslims life. It reaches the social, economical, political, cultural and religious aspects of Muslims of o f subcontinent. He th
died on 27 march 1898 after did a brilliant jobs j obs and services for the Muslims.
