74 The o-stem adjectives The ostem adjectives are basically identical in inflection with ostem nouns, with two slight differences: in the neuter nominative and accusative plural the long form with the ending is exclusively used and the masculine accusative plural has a by-form in beside regular . After the classical Old Irish period the masculine nominative and accusative plural also take on the ending -a.
