STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Communications is an industry that has changed the definition of human interaction. A couple of centuries ago, sending a message from USA to India would take months. Now it takes hardly a second. The process of interacting with people over wires or through air thrills me and hence I decided to ecel in the field of Communications !y pursuing "aster#s degree from y$ University. I took up %lectronics and Telecommunications as my ma&or for an engineering 'achelor#s degree. I was fascinated with not &ust communications !ut other fields of %lectronics such as ()SI and em!edded systems and com!ined application of these fields result into flawless communication technologies which are eistent today. The su!&ects like *igital %lectronics, Signals and Systems, *igital Signal +rocessing and "icroprocessor and "icrocontroller applications helped me understand the !asics of the communication technologies. These l aid the foundation for my courses in %lectronic Communication Communication Systems at a later stage. I am working at p-r Industries for the past years. "y &o! description includes maintaining and reviewing the fre-uency parameters of the data and voice signals. This short stint has given me invalua!le practical eperience in the field of communications. *uring the course of my work at p-r industries, I have come across several employees, scientists and engineers. "ost of them work in different areas of communications and help keep the different communication systems up and running. Interacting with them has made me understand the huge potential of communications. There is an immense scope of growth and research in this field. This eperience has given me the confidence to pursue a master#s degree and also kindled a desire to do research in the field of Communications. *uring my undergraduate studies, I worked on a!c pro&ect which helped /a!out your pro&ect0 *uring the course of the pro&ect, I interacted with various professors to understand the working of different modules and chips and select the most suited components for our application. *eciding the various components and ICs was the !iggest challenge that we faced as we needed to achieve -uality as well as had to take care of the limited epenses. In the end, we achieved a perfect com!ination and our pro&ect was declared as the !est team display in the annual pro&ect presentation at our college. I have !een a student mem!er of the Association of %lectronics 1roup /A%10 in our college for four years during my undergraduate studies. Through its workshops, paper presentations, seminars and guest lectures, I have !een a!le to keep up with the latest emerging trends in the field of %lectronics, particularly in the field of Communications. 2ne such pu!lication on 3wireless charging technology using simple mechanical motions4 was simply fascinating. *uring organi$ation of the inter college ro!otics competition, I was given the responsi!ility of organi$ing and &udging the wireless ro!ot competition. 'eing an active mem!er of this group has helped me improve communication skills, leadership skills and team work. If admitted I plan to carry on with my advanced studies in the fields of Communications. Considering the pioneering work going on at your department la!s Communications Systems )a! /CS)0 and Information Systems )a! /IS)0, which perfectly match with the field of my interest. The latest research activity in the field of wireless signal charging and motion under the a!le guidance of +rof. )"N is &ust the kind of research work that I would love to !e part of. %lectrical %ngineering department at y$ University is the ideal choice for an eciting research career. At the same time, I am confident of contri!uting originally to the ongoing work at your department.
