I, TOM ARANETS ARANETS,, of legal legal age, age, marrie married, d, and living living at 123 Street Street Capitolville, Bacolod City, witness in this case, state under oath as follows: PRELIMINARY STATEMENT The person examining me is Prosecutor Joey Pugales with address at Hall of Justice, Bacolod City. The examination is being held at the same address. I am answering his questions fully conscious that I do so under oath and may face criminal liability for false testimony and perjury. 1. Q. Please state your name and other personal circumstances for the record. A. My name is Tom Aranets, 40 years old, married and a resident of 123 Street Capitolville, Bacolod City. I am currently one of the Councilors of Bacolod. 2. Q. Are you the same Tom Aranets, one of the witnesses in this case? A. Oo, Sir. (Yes, Sir). Q. Do you know the couple Mar and Gretchen Puno? Oo, tupad balay ko sila. (Yes, they are my neighbors) Q. Mayuhay man kamo sang Spouses Puno? (Are you in good terms with the Spouses Puno?) A. Oo, Sir. Pirmi kami ga upod dinner sang una. ( Yes, Sir. We always had dinner together before.) Q. Do you still recall any incident that happened between the Spouses Puno in the afternoon of March 15, 2015? Yes, Sir. While I was in my garage washing my car, I heard loud voices outside my house. When i went out to investigate, I saw that the couple arguing were the Spouses Puno. Q. Can you still recall what they were arguing about? A. Ga away sila tungod sa ila bata na si Carlos Inigo. Ga syagit si Mar na indi na kuno pwede ni Gretchen makita si Carlos. Nabati-an ko man na gina buyayaw na ni Mar si Gretchen. (They were arguing about their son, Carlos Inigo. Mar was shouting that Gretchen cannot see Carlos anymore. I laso heard Mar shouting foul words at Gretchen.) Q. And ano nga mga pamuyayaw ang gin syagit ni Mar? (And what foul words was Mar shouting at Gretchen) A. Na bati-an ko na ga syagit sya kay Gretchen, “Puta ka! Biga-on ka na, tomboy ka pa! Wala ka gid pulos na babayi! Indi ka na mag pakita sa akon kag kay Carlos! Umandam ka lang kung makita ta pa ka upod sa bata ko!” ( I heard him shouting at Gretchen, “You bitch! Besides being a flirt, you’re also a lesbian! You really have no use! Don’t you dare come near us anymore! You will regret it if ever I see you with Carlos again! Q. Then what happened after that? A. Wala na ko namati pa. ( I did not listen further.) I felt that it was not my place to meddle with the domestic affairs of my neighbors. Nag balik ko dayon sa sulod balay ko. (I then went back inside my house).
