IMPORTANT: CCLM tool of Solman can be effectively used for Custom code migration worklist & custom code remediation.
HANA installation & creation. Have installed HANA1.0 SP12 & created database E1B with instance number 04. Refer: 1953429 - SAP HANA and SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP on one Server
Cleansing of application/log/trace table 2388483 - How-To: Data Management for Technical Tables CHECKS. Check for cluster (Report SDBI_CLUSTER_CHECK) & pool table (report SDBI_POOL_CHECK), Temse inconsistency, Failed Update, delete old profile & import active profile AZ10. Invalid Temp Table in SE14, ICNV list must be empty, DBACOCKPIT for missing tables & index. User type DIALOG for DDIC/000 & Validity set to infinity.
DB2 source database. We adjusted size & count of Primary, secondary logs & also make sure enough space to hold Primary logs (It occupy space in advance) however secondary logs occupy space when needed.
Generate Migration & License Key. 1. While generating Migration Key, ECC Source SID & S4H1610 Target SID will remain same however for Target system DB will be HANA in memory computing. 2. HANA1.0 SP12 license need to be generated as per memory usage. Stackfile generation. Stackfile will not generate until precheck goes green related to Add-on, there are few add-ons which are obsolete and need to be uninstall. Make sure latest SLD, LMDB & Data on Market place are in SYNC to get correct Stack file. Below Report should go Green or else SUM will shout during conversion.
1) 2182725 - S4TC Delivery SAP S/4HANA System Conversion Checks As per above note run report R_S4_PRE_TRANSITION_CHECKS in 000 of ECC source system & make sure to get all GREEN. 2) Report RSUPG_TADIR_COMPONENT_CHECK internally called by SUM during preprocessing phase to carry out component consistency check. Will proactively add it to our preparation phase and get it OK before realize phase.
DVM Data Volume reduction (Solman Functionality). We can achieve a shorter conversion duration due to reduced load size. It lists out tables which can be housekeep or archive. Function team task. Logistic team will carry out CVI to BP (Customer vender integration to Business partner) task which consume good amount of time. FICO will run report RASFIN_MIGR_PRECHECK & to get it GREEN its takes time.
Below are List of applied notes before carrying out conversion.

Db2 specific action carried out.
To overcome “Function group frame program” “ZMOB_INV_DETAILS” “exists without TLIBG entry” : Action as per SAP note (783308 - TLIBG inconsistencies before the upgrade ) carried out.
It talks about variant to be carry forward to target system (S4H1610). so, we are saving those variants by running RASUVAR1&2 job.
Its talks about BW trace and bookmarks which can be deleted, Not application data.
The RSVBCHCK job failed and this failure can be ignored as it’s just check for failed update in the system. We can proceed with next step.
Pre-processing phase start: 8:49 PM 20-03-2017
We ran report RSUPG_TADIR_COMPONENT_CHECK in EHB/900 as per below screen with option Correct not registered component and output is created in $DIR_PUT/abap/tmp. rsupg_tadir_component_check.txt
After executing report RSUPG_TADIR_COMPONENT_CHECK correction & update are recorded in special TR EHBK900002. For more update please refer note: 2318321 - Differences in SUM for the rescue of Non-SAP objects between load and delta procedure.
Inactive customer object are activated and open TRs are released.
Activate the above customer object again and its successfully moved to next step
Use Tcode lbwg, We delete respective application entries from setup table which are temporary tables & it can be repopulated with data from actual table by running certain programs. Reference URL : https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1231616

To overcome the above error
We updated dbsl library path to location cdexe. Download latest dbdb6slib.so for 721 REL kernel from SMP & upload it to cdexe location.
Now Shadow instance started , So please look at the memory usage.
Meanwhile will share few details on Shadow instance. When we login to 000 client of shadow instance with user DDIC, passwd is same as that of DDIC user from 000 client of source system. We don’t run SGEN in shadow instance, Whichever Tcode you hit it will first compile it hence processing will be bit slow.

It too have same number of client as that of source system..
However, this profile can’t upload in RZ10, when tried it fail with table not exist error. If u want to edit incase needed do it from OS level… TR cannot be released. Shadow instance don’t have any logon group, RFC group, No operation mode.
SPDD and SPAU activity for Adjust modification has been done by ABAPER and we can proceed now. Below the confirmation mail from ABAPER for SPDD activity.
We can see HANA memory utilization will goes up as application data(shadow repository starts copying to target HANA DB).
As per simplification list, HBS will not be available in SAP S4HANA.
As per note 2343388, https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2343388 Custom code using any object of the piece list SI_DI_HOME_BUILDG_SL needs to be adjusted to carry forward this functionality in S4HANA. Data elements i.e. varchar, char etc. associated with DI_HBS packages were missing as DI_HSB package was not in Shadow instance, Hence ABAP team created Custom package and assigned data element to field of Table ZOXES00135. Again, we retried and proceeded. .

MAIN_SHDIMP/PARMVNT_SHD took around 5 hrs.
Here SAPOSS RFC in shadow instance was not working, we corrected password of user OSS_RFC for SAPOSS RFC. Password: CPIC (Refer SAP Note 182308) When you try to apply note is shadow instance it will be prompt “SAP system has status not Modifiable” As per note 2207944, Need to check SUM breakpoint for phase CHECK4NOTES_TOOL_SHD2 is set once this breakpoint is reached, unlock shadow system using command “SAPup unlockshd” & then login to your shadow instance using user other than DDIC & apply note. Later locking of shadow instance is taken care automatically by SUM.
Now login to shadow instance 000 client & applied above notes. IMP: Note number 2414830 Took around 1 hrs to implement & in DB01 there was lock on Table(Don’t do any thing be patients). For note 2414830, 2409043 & 2405316 where prerequisite & implemented while applying 2414830.
Above phase took around 30 minute.
We copied libSQLDBCHDB.so to /sapmnt/EHB/exe.
These steps are for SPS10, we have not carried out stated action. Moving NEXT.

EU_CLONE_MIG_DT_CREATE is taken long time.
From this phase, it started writing on persistence layer & we can also see memory utilization started growing fast.
This phase EU_CLONE_MIG_UT_RUN has taken more than 5 Hrs.
After this we checked & source system EHB was down.
Backup of EHB Db2 database, SUM directory & /usr/sap/EHB completed. Will continue..
CHECKS.LOG file checked and all OK.
System was already down for backup , However actual downtime migration started at 11:46 AM.
Below was the error identified with enqueue port conflict.
We identified port as below and killed it after understanding consequence.
REASON WHY SUDDENLY AFTER RESTART of Source system ENQUEUE STOPED at very beginning of Downtime phase. Here SUM has added few parameter & altered some of parameter in profile of source instance from /sapmnt/EHB/exe & then copied it to his own directory
MOST IMPORTANT: One interesting thing to notice, Here ASCS will not come up during downtime phase & SUM will append ms & en entry in instance profile of PAS & also make softlink where ms & en will run from 00 instance which belongs to PAS. (01 instance number belongs to ASCS). In short, all function of ASCS is with PAS.
Now SUM was executing below command to bring 00 PAS up.
However, enqueue was not coming up due to port 50019 conflict with other. EXECUTING /usr/sap/EHB/DVEBMGS00/exe/sapcontrol -format script -prot NI_HTTP -host HANAPOC -nr 00 -function GetProcessList
Error with respect to INSTANCE.OUT file which was located under SUM/abap/log directory is it checks profile file for consistence. Using command “>sapfpar check pf= EHB_DVEBMGS00_HANAPOC”. & there was error for below two shared pool parameters & we manually edited it by given recommendation as per sappfpar. ipc/shm_psize_10 = 155000000 ipc/shm_psize_40 = 496000000 Then stopped source system “stopsap r3”. Don’t start source instance, Let SUM take it up. After taking all corrective action, Click NEXT… .
This phase took good amount of time around 10 hrs.
We can see parallel exp & import thru R3load.
We can monitor parallel exp & imp task from below window. More > DMO Migration Control Center > Charts Control Center.
Yet we haven’t seen SAPABAP1 user in catalog.
Keep habit of checking Alerts.
Kernel switching took place..
Actually it does DB cleanup & some internal process.
Current Phase: MAIN_NEWBAS/PARCONV_UPG takes around 2 hrs time.
We can see savepoint job is in progress, which write data to persistent layer i.e. /hana/data. Archive log autobackup was ON & was going to below location.
Current Phase: MAIN_NEWBAS/TABIM_UPG … Be patience this al phase take good time to complete. & some time it takes your app down.
Like wise SUM proceed.. your conversion.
Fortunately, SUM start running like Husain Bolt. Now again App is up.
Again SUM is like a tortoise.
We tried repeating this phase... as it was stuck to a point and not initializing might be bcoz of lack of HANA memory… and it continued…
Total time for Downtime activity is around 19 Hrs.
CHECKS.LOG file output.
POSTPROCESSING.
License related error.. Below is logfile output for SAPLIKEY_PEM2ND.LOG
We are not using BW. Its S4HANA so no need to check note 1908075.
Remember job JOB_RASUVAR1 ran in Preprocessing & its again running as JOB_RASUVAR2 . This job is related to variant export in preprocessing & import in postprocessing. This also takes few time.. Below is the log for above job.
Have ask ABAP team.. they will continue later within 14 days..
Finally after 24 Hrs of Downtime we are done… jai Mata Di. Njoy.. . Space usage of disk after upgrade/conversion.
