KANSAS Drill Player passes ahead to coach the run directly at the defender with a pad . Offense initiates contact, seals the defender on his back with wide base , and throws hand to the ball . On the catch, player immediately gets the ball to the rim . RULE—When you catch with two feet in the paint on a seal , score immediately on balance .

Expand on the Kansas drill by using three coaches on the perimeter . At each position , player look to seal . On each pass he reads the defense and seals . Play until offensive player catches ball deep in the paint . Catch and finish !
