Ayurveda Ayurveda looks at the whole whole system and finds the problem and a nd imbalance imba lance in the body through through the the pulse. Liz Thompson: So Thompson: So in Allopathic medicine we are treating the symptoms rather than than the “disease” “dise ase” because bec ause we don’t d on’t usually usually know what what causes ca uses the diseas dis ease, e, right rig ht? ? So S o what happens i n Ayurveda Ayurveda when you you don’t know the cause? Pankaj Naram: That Naram: That is the beauty of reading the pulse. In Ayurveda, we do know do know the the cause, ca use, and therefore can treat the actual problem. Liz Thompson: So Thompson: So are a re you saying saying that a disease dise ase can manifest in the the same way and and have the same symptoms, but be caused ca used by 2 totally different things? Pankaj Naram: Ab Naram: Absolutely solutely.. Take 2 women – one o ne from India, India, one from Germany. The both suffer from arthritis. The Indian woman has arthritis that stems from being bei ng too emotional. emotio nal. The The German woman has has suppressed suppres sed her emotions emotio ns and has arthritis as well. well. Both problems are a re totally different, but they they have have the same sa me effect in i n the the body. b ody. We can c an help both. You see the whole whole world is begi b eginn nning ing to embrace embra ce Ayu A yurv rveda eda because beca use it is very holistic.
