2. Preparation
Notes: •Whenyoutakea measurementontheright arm,airtubewill beatthesideofyour elbow.Becarefulnot torestyourarmon theairtube. •Thebloodpressurecandifferbetwee e rbetweentherightarmandtheleftarm, andthereforealsothemeasuredbloodpressu e dbloodpressurevaluescanbe different.Omronrecommends toalways usethe samearm for measurement.If thevalues betweenthe twoarms differsubstantially, pleasecheck withyourdoctorwhicharmtouseforyour o rwhicharmtouseforyour measurement.
2.1 Installing/Replacing the Batteries
1. Removethebattery cover.
3.2 How to SitCorrectly Totakea measurement,youneedtobe relaxedandcomfortablyseated,under comfortableroom temperature.No eating, smokingorexercising30minute n gorexercising30minutesbefore takinga measurement.
2. Insertfour“AA”batteries t four“AA”batteries asindicatedinthe e dinthe battery compartmentand then replacethebatterycover. 4.2 Troubleshooting Problem
The reading is extremely low (or high).
Arm cuff pressure does not rise.

•Siton achairwithyourfeetflatonthefloor. •Situprightwithyourbackstraight. •Thecuffshouldbeatthe samelevel as your heart.
Arm cuff deflates too soon.
Disposal ofusedbatteriesshouldbecarrie i esshouldbecarriedoutinaccordancewiththe national regulationsforthe disposal ofbatteries. Cannot measure or readings are too low or too high.
