Hi Folks and Welcome,
We just opened up the Training Circle: Cir cle: Old Yang Style Tai Chi Edition and Edition and we’ll be taking in new members for a limited time.
I’d like to send heartfelt gratitude to all my teachers, expecially those who opened up to teach me in China, because without their generosity and kindness I wouldn't be able to share with you what's inside this program. My aim in creating this edition was to make the most complete online tai chi training ever developed, plus a complete qigong set and more advanced Taoist mediation methods. I always recommend you find the best live tai chi teacher in your area...that being said, this program is packed with insider knowledge that can start or improve any tai chi practice regardless of style. My promise to you is: 1) To give you an Old Yang Tai Chi Style (36 movements) that is as close to the original source code as possible. It will be undiluted. I’ll make clear for you what is often hidden or not known by many teachers. It is going to take us about 18 months to get through the entire form. 2) Show you all of the possibilies of tai chi, including the internal energetics, health and martial applications. Part of the program is a comprehensive Heaven and Earth Qigong training that is in itself a powerful program for energy development, blood circulation and back/neck issues.

3) Guide you into the world of the Taoist Meditation with a focus on the inner dissolving technique to address and clear out blockages in your primary energy bodies. I believe that tai chi, qigong and meditation practices are ways to genuinely improve your life. You go beyond inspiration to create your own personal transformation. I will be with you each month to guide you on the path. I think you will find great value in this training circle and read further to find out all the details. See you on the inside,
Bruce Frantzis Founder, Energy Arts Inc. p.s. It goes without saying this program has a 30-day money-back guarantee so you can try it risk free.

For those who are NEW to my teachings, I think it is important to share with you who I studied Tai Chi with in China. In the intro video I explained more about the SOURCE CODE of the Old Yang Style and here you will find more explanation.

For beginners all you need to know is that I studied with many of the best masters in China and you can leave it at that. This section here for two reasons: 1) To explain to those interested who I learned with and briefly how it came about; 2) To give respect to those whom I studied with as the real source of these teachings and what you will find in this program. Here is a summary of my training in the three primary tai chi lineages: Yang Style of Tai Chi
My first Yang Style teacher was Chen Man-Ch'ing in the 1960's in New York. My second teacher was TT Liang, who was the first disciple of Chen Man-Ch'ing. I sought out TT Liang in Asia and found him to be an amazing and generous man. He used to say he would teach you everything. The only question was, 'could you get it?' Then I studied in Hong Kong with Yang Shou-chung who was the eldest son of Yang Ch'eng Fu. This is as direct in the lineage as you
Cheng Man-Ching
can get in the Yang style of tai chi. The training I did with him was focused on the martial applications of tai chi. I also trained in the Old Yang Style with two other teachers, Lin Du-Ying and Bai Hua. One of the biggest things to learn in the Yang Style is the art of pulling silk as well as all of the internal content of the Yang Style as they did it in the old days rather than the often watered down versions that are taught today. Wu Style of Tai Chi
My primary teacher in the Wu Style was Liu Hung Chieh. Liu Hung Chieh studied direclty in the house of Wu Chien-ch'uan, the founder of the style. The current Wu style is done by the students of Wu Chien-ch'uan or his two sons. The Wu Style is the major variant of the Yang Style. It essentially distills the small frame of the Yang Style. The original Yang, Yang Lu Chen, had three best students, the best of the three was Wu’s father. Wu taught in the Yang family tai chi association – he was one of their main teachers. Being 20 years older than the rest, he was a major teacher of Yang Cheng-Fu. They both created their forms in cooperation with each other. The Wu and Yang forms are thus very close. They are different branches of the same tai chi family. Liu was invited to live in the house of Wu Chien-ch'uan in Hong

Kong, which he did, were he studied daily with Wu Chien-ch'uan. During this time, Wu wanted to write a book, however, his writing ability was not great. Conversely Liu had been a university professor of Classic Chinese at Ching Hua University in Beijing (the Harvard of China). Liu was the one who actually helped pen Wu’s tai chi book while living in his house. Chen Style of Tai Chi
My main teacher in the Chen style was Feng Zhi Qiang. I trained with him both in his house and in parks where he taught me one-on-one in the 1980’s. We were very close. I probably would have done more with Grandmaster Feng, but by the time we started doing stuff together I found the difficultly of living in China too much. At one time, he asked me to be an official disciple, but at the time I was already a disciple of Liu Hung Chieh. How it traditionally works in China is that you cannot be a disciple of two teachers at the same time.
Feng Zhi Qiang & Bruce Doing Push Hands
Feng used to go and teach in the Chen village all the time. He was the last push hands student of Chen Fa Ke, who was the person who trained the top people in the Chen village. Chen Fa Ke was the also person who brought the Chen Style out of the village to Beijing. From Feng I learned many things, including how the Chen Style does reeling/coiling silk which is a specialty of the Chen Style. We did a lot of pushing hands and fighting applications. I also learned from him the particular way the Chen Style incorporates spiraling into all the movements as well as how to create the explosive and vibrating power that high level Chen Style tai chi is known for. Feng also emphasized how to practice the Chen style of tai chi so that it does not damage your body, which many are not familiar with.

Energy Arts Training Circle - Old Yang Tai Chi Edition Offer

1. Overview of Each Move: Each month we will take each tai chi move and go step by step to
deconstruct each component part. We will look at the moves both from the beginner and more advanced levels. Initially it is very important to get the alignments correct because if you are out of alignment then the qi can not flow properly. 2. Postural Points of the Move: On models I will show the main areas for each move and
where the major mistakes are made. Often we come into the tai chi form with poor posture and over time you can use tai chi to become more aware of your body in space. It is important not to rush through learning the form and to learn each movement allowing you body to assimulate and learn the movements. 3. Neigong Components : This includes Openings and Closings , Yin Yang Surfaces Energy Movement, and Twisting/Spiraling within EACH PART of every movement. Neigong
is what gives tai chi it effectiveness and power. There are sixteen essential neigong components you need to know. In this program we cover many of them and look at how to integrate these components into your form. 4. Neigong and Breathing: Each month we will look at the different ways that you can add
breathing into your tai chi practice. We will cycle through the Taoist Longevity Breathing techniques and slowly integrate this step by step into your tai chi form over time.

5. 13 Tai Chi Principles or Energies: There are eight primary energies used in tai chi and we
will look at how these manifest within the tai chi form. All movements in tai chi are composed of permutations of these eight building blocks, as they continuously combine, separate, and recombine during each individual posture and transitional move. Initially we will focus on Peng, Lu, Ji and An and you will learn how each move integrates and combines these. Later in the course we will look at the remaining 5 which relate to the footwork methodology of tai chi and are responsible for moving the feet and body's center smoothly and with stability. 6. Yang Cheng Fu's 10 Principles: The principles we will be
looking at throughout the program include: Straightening The Head, Correct Position Of Chest And Back, Relaxation Of The Waist, Solid And Empty Stance, Sinking Of Shoulders And Elbows, Using The Mind Instead Of Force, Coordination Of Upper And Lower Parts, Harmony Between The Internal And External Parts, Importance Of Continuity and Tranquility In Movement. 7. Yang Style Form Comparisons: Each month we will look
at how the Old Yang Tai Chi Style compares to different 'New' Yang Tai Chi styles so that if you practice another type of Yang form you can understand how they relate. 8. Wu and Yang Style Comparisons : Each month we will
look at the movements and see how the Wu style movements Photo of Yang Cheng Fu were derived from the Old Yang Style. The Wu Style could be called a small frame version of the Old Yang Style. This will be especially helpful for those in the Energy Arts community who have learned the Wu Style from Bruce. 9. Tai Chi Martial Arts Applications: Every movement in tai chi was originally developed as a
martial art movement. Tai Chi's unique technique is Lu or rollback and the fact that the force can be modulated to the desired outcome for an opponent. We will look at each move in slow motion and then speed things up with an attacker so you can see the fluidity in action. Even if you are NOT interested in the martial arts applications, many people find that learning the martial techniques of tai chi helps them remember the physical movement form better. 10. Tai Chi Special Topics: When appropriate we will look at special topics within tai chi such
as health and healing and other applications that relate to a specific movement or topics such as tai chi postures, relationship to Taoist philosophy and other works such as the Tai Chi Classics. 11. Tai Chi Form Corrections and Adjustments : Each month we will have practitioners
doing the form and we will make actual corrections on the models. This will help you learn what
Energy Arts Training Circle - Old Yang Tai Chi Edition Offer

to look for in your own practice and form. We will do this for both beginning and more advanced levels. 12: Review and Practice Goals by Level: Each month you will get guidelines on the specifc
things that you should focus on during your practice form. This will be separated by beginner and intermediate/advanced practice. You will also receive recordings that you can use to do repetitions of the moves and later on of mini-segments of the form eventually leading to a full practice set of the form. Each month the amount of content will vary between 1.5 to 2+ hours of content JUST in the tai chi section depending on the number of moves.
"The single most useful thing about this program has been the access to a well organised and structured mine of information. As I live in New Zealand, this has been an invaluable resource for my personal practice at a time in my life where I can't just jump on a plane and travel for top quality instruction. The progressive approach to learning skill sets and the retreat footage has also been excellent." Christopher L .

Taoism is the specific branch of meditation I teach to help my students delve inside themselves. The ancient meditation methods of Taoism have been used for thousands of years to help people cope with stress and the challenging issues of the times. My passion is helping others learn Taoist meditation because I feel it is the most profound gift you can give yourself. Each month we will go inward to explore our inner world and use the classic inner dissolving method. Initial topics that we will be covering include: > Dissolving blockages in the unconscious mind > Opening inner potential with inner dissolving > Using agendas to reach goals for inner dissolving > Awareness and thinking > Feeling inside the body > Recognizing bockages without judgement
"Thanks for the meditation section and the footage from the Breathing Retreat. I like how the material builds on itself (especially the meditation) as the months go on." Ishmael D.

Senior instructors of Energy Arts, practitioners of Martial Arts, Qigong and Tai Chi for more than 20 years, Tai Chi Schule Ulm/Neu "When I met Bruce Frantzis in 1997 I already had studied martial arts from the age of twelve. Impressed by his teaching and his deep knowledge in the martial arts and energy work I decided to continue studying with him since that time. For my further development in the martial arts this was a very big step. With the launch of this new program Bruce is offering one more possibility of passing down his knowledge." Olaf Rolving, Zendocan " Some thirty years ago, a whirlwind martial artist named Bruce Frantzis introduced me to the arts of bagua and tai chi and revealed how they support and enhance one another. As my interests evolved - from martial arts to health and healing to meditation and the Tao - Bruce continuously unveiled for me new possibilities within these arts. There has not been one day in the past 30 years that I haven't been amazed by and deeply grateful for the depth and vastness of Bruce's knowledge, the clarity and openness with which he teaches, and his dedication to pass on these arts at the highest levels possible to new generations of practitioners." Bill Ryan, Toward Harmony Tai Chi & Qigong, Northampton, Massachusetts, USA "At Brookline Tai Chi, we use the Wu Style Short Form as the cornerstone of a comprehensive curriculum that has been teaching people how to integrate the energy of their bodies and minds for over 20 years.." Dan Kleiman, Program Director, Brookline Tai Chi "Bruce Frantzis has a unique way of teaching that goes to the very core of your being, whether you are learning internal arts for fighting, health, or spiritual development. He is a true catalyst, bringing about dynamic changes to your physical body, chi, mind and spirit as your skills increase. Generous and compassionate, he communicates from the heart and is appropriately challenging on every level!" Patrick Foley and Jane Launchbury have studied with Bruce and his Senior Instructor Brian Cooper since 1991 "I have had the privelege of studying with bruce over the last 8 years. Bruce is a true treasure of Taoism in the west. His teachings have been essential in my developing an understanding and practical ability in the internal martial arts, healing and meditation. He helped me understand how they function and how they interrelate. He really gets this stuff, and he helps others to really get it, too." Richard Shapiro, Two Trees Internal Arts "I enjoy the very detailed information shared by you! I think the little details are making the big difference to other teachers. Further I like that every detail presented in all your teachings has been reviewed and experienced by yourself. Therefore you don´t teach stuff you don´t know in detail. Thank´s for sharing your deep experiences." Gerhard K. "I have really enjoyed having a clear set of exercises to help me build my practice. I am really grateful for the sessions being divided into beginner and intermediate practices which means it is something i can keep coming back too and learning more from. To see how to progress and integrate elements. I have also really enjoyed the q&a sessions." Oskar M. "The in depth teaching on forms such as single whip and wave hands like clouds--material here that I never found elsewhere.

Like having the student d emonstrators--when you correct them it helps me understand the material better. The insights into how to energize and work with the two lower dan tiens ha s been transformative for me both in doing qigong and in meditation. Because I can go back to replay material time after time, I can master it at my own pace." Geoff L. "The EA Training Circle material is top notch, with Bruce sharing beginning, intermediate, and advanced material in impressive detail. I have an active Tai Chi, Qigong, and meditation practice, and the Training Circle has really helped me take it to a higher l evel. I especially appreciated the Wu Style Cloud Hands instruction, as I am at that point in the Long Form. Bruce instruction was immensely helpful." Chris C. "Bruce's gives in depth detailed descriptions of movements, function, and effects combined with the scientific view based on Taoist methodology." John G. "The meditation and tai chi sections are really excellent. I've made a lot of progress with my sitting and form during the training circle." Mathew N. "I get an opportunity to learn internal aspects of tai chi otherwise not explained or available. I've practiced the Yang form taught by Bruce for over 10 years but it became stagnant. Also something not listed above that I very much enjoy is exposure to Taoist philosophy as it relates to tai chi." Jacob G. "What I've enjoyed most is the detail that is expressed in most of the lessons. For instance, I was listening to some of the Breathing Event videos of Module 4 and the explanations of what to work on next, drew from what I've already worked on, but took things just far enough that I felt really comfortable moving forward." James G. "I have found the background that Bruce gives as he is teaching very useful to put things in context. It satisfies my intellectual curiosity as to why not only on how. Also, it is interesting at how the different sections are linked. I have been doing the Qigong and breathing but I make sure I watch the other sections because there is always some insights that are relevant." Jim B. "I see these videos as an opportunity to fill in gaps in knowledge and be able to figure out the foundations in my own body. The Circle has been very useful." Ania S. "The thoughtful planning of this course is allowing me to fill in missing gaps in previous training. And as learning is not

linear, the intermediate and advanced teachings are providing me with plenty of ‘Aha moments’. I greatly appreciate everything that has been shared. I listen to all parts, and my practice time has increased. Thank you again. I have been hungry for this information, and have not been able to afford travel/study time." Linda S. "It's been great to be able to get a good grounding in the basics, as the live trainings are usually on a particular subject, and you can miss foundation practices that were covered well in the circle. seeing the similarities in how to progress in the different paths has also been useful." Richard S. "Learning about how to move chi. I am most interested in the q igong portion. Right now I am trying to absorb this and spiraling." Pat T. "I am an intermediate student in my fifth year…hearing Bruce explain the concepts provides extremely valuable information and explanation about the specific techniques and larger concepts." David W. "It has been great to have a recap and overview of the whole system…this has helped me get more online with things like cloud hands and bagua walking. I have enjoyed Live retreat and the live classes in particular. Also having the regular Q&A audio has also been really valuable." Chris G.
