NID PG 2012 PAPER- I PGDPD

1. Visualize the scenario of life of of Rat or ant. (Assume that you are a mouse/ ant. Draw his daily life activities. Also draw his surroundings from its eye view.) Or 1. Visualize the scenario of of existing railway station with 4 platforms, coach yard, stock yard, public amenities such as seats, toilets, and telephone booth etc. a) List all the functions and public amenities. b) Draw a plan showing all above functions and amenities. c) Also design a modern railway station with with four platforms, three foot over bridges and public amenities with a top view. Also draw any one of the platforms in 3 D from a human eye. 2. Explain the concept of 4+3 and 4-3 to a 4 year old child through narration and illustration. 1. Take one scenario education, office, home or any of your choice, how you change in digital form and how it will make an impact on society. Illustrate. 2. Take one scenario kitchen, home, work office, play or any of your choice how you can address the problem with digital intervention. Illustrate. 3. PAPER II IT Integrated Design-Information and Interface Design –

1) You are arranging a dinner party for your friends, how many friends, which restaurant, how will you take them at that place. Make a tool that will make a plan easily digitally or non – digitally 2) A reservation and cancellation form for railway ticket book was given in form of picture. Make any five changes in it and redraw the form to fill the form more easily for common people. 3) Draw an ATM machine for elder people to make it more comfortable and easy. describe a problem in existing ATM machine and make changes to make it easy. 4) Symbols provided with options , specify correct options. 1. Write five distinct Features and aspects of mobile phone which keep it distinct from desktop computers. 2. Draw sequential steps while interacting with ATM during Withdrawal 3. Match the following Voice of "Assam'----Bhupen Hazarika Jaitapur-----Nuclear Plant etc 4. A tangram is given with seven figures: 2 big triangles, 2 small triangles, 1 square, 1 rhombus. Discover arrangements of these figures according to given examples from a combined figure.



PAPER II Photography Design –

1. Critique your favorite photographer? 2. Define Panorama view? 3. If you go for any photography assignment, which instruments and lenses you will carry with you? 4. Three pictures are provided, identity the perspective view, explain.

1. Attempt any 1 out of three options given below. NID PG 2008 PAPER- I PGDPD 1. Identify the most unique feature of the given object and draw it from three angles. Don’t draw the entire object. (Object provided was - 3 pin plug)

2. Assume the object to be the size of an elephant and is placed in a garden. Draw the scene 3. Assume the object has emotions - sad, happy and angry. Draw one and write a caption for it. . 4. Visualize how the object will evolve after 192 years and draw the same.

Select a film that touched you and explain it with the help of color and forms. iv.) Draw the side view of bus and draw the design of future bus at 2020. v.) 2. Draw any two states and design their people; food and climate in the space provided and explain in 25 words about the design.



PAPER II –

1 Draw the sculpture of a bull standing or sitting in a garden. You may use pencils, sketch pens, pencil colors, etc. 2 (A paper with five rectangles drawn on it is provided. These rectangles were approx 3 ½ by 4 ½ inches in size each). Given below are two themes. Pick any one and create a story board of 5 frames based on that theme. Illustrate the frames in the rectangles provided to you. You may use pencils, sketch pens, etc. Theme 1: what upsets me the most? Theme 2: I will succeed, no matter what…… 3 A list of 20 questions all based on programming, scripting and authoring. Each question has 4 options to choose from. Some of them were GK questions like what is India’s literacy rate? And what is the poverty level in India? Others were questions based on hardcore programming like C++, Java etc or questions on authors of some programming books.
