Air Force Engineering & Technical Service, Taipei, Taiwan 1991 – 1995 Network Engineer Played critical role in the design and implementation of Active Directory and Microsoft SMS for nine Air Force bases. Provided direct technical support for two major networks with a combined node count of over 10,000 (Elmendorf AFB &Eielson). Redesigned and deployed new network infrastructures including an ATM backbone with routing and switching equipment at both bases with minimal loss of services to critical systems. New network infrastructure design included a NSAP scheme and a new IP mappings (private IP space) for all network nodes and firewall implementation - which exceeded the expectation of NSA as noted in their annual inspection. Trained and assisted assigned technicians in the installation, administration and maintenance of ATM, Ethernet and Cisco routed networks, Microsoft networking and networking services, Microsoft Exchange mail services, Router and firewall based access control systems, and EMC SAN for Mail, Print and File services maintenance.
