Introducción La traducción tiene gran trascendencia en el mundo de los negocios, dado que el bilingüismo está siempre presente en la vida del ser humano y las empresas importan y exportan constantemente. Es importante en este campo cuidar y respetar la lengua que va a ser traducida para transmitir el mensaje correctamente. Es así que, conocer los lineamientos como la misión, la visión y los objetivos de una empresa, son relevantes, ya que permiten entender y dar a conocer hacia dónde va, quién es y qué quiere hacer una empresa para que se dé un buen entendimiento entre las partes, logrando así negociaciones exitosas. En esta sección se trataran temas como la forma de elaborar dichos lineamientos y algunas pautas para hacer una buena traducción.

1. Developing guidelines Los términos misión, visión, metas y objetivos tienen gran importancia en la literatura de la gerencia; comprenderlos no sólo llevarán a una persona a obtener el significado conceptual siendo asociado a ellos, sino que también se constituyen en un conocimiento que será complementario en muchas formas. Siendo utilizados en una empresa, los términos citados tienen mucho que ver con el negocio, y tienen un impacto significativo en el éxito a corto y largo plazo de un negocio, incluyendo su desempeño y procesos. Vision
Vision refers to an image or a concept. It’s the ability to anticipate possible future events and developments with imagination and wisdom. Vision in management literature, may be defined as a mental image of a business manager for possible and desirable future of an organization. It may also be defined as a strong belief of a manager about the specific course of action for the business organization. To put it simply, vision refers to where an organization wants to be in the future. Mission
It is not that an organization is formed in a vacuum or with no purpose it stands. Of course, it has a reason for its existence which is specific. It runs based on it. The

purpose is known as mission. It may be mentioned in a few words, such as, producing goods or providing services and so the objectives are communicated through the mission statement. The Mission of an organization is the base and it is that the strategies are built upon. It focuses on the purpose of an organization through a statement describing the reason of an organizational existence - It answers the question why the organization has been established. La misión y la visión están relacionadas con el propósito de una organización, y esto está comunicado en alguna forma escrita. Los dos términos son declaraciones que dan respuesta acerca de quién se es, el valor que se tiene, hacia dónde se dirige y lo que se quiere ser en el futuro en el campo de los negocios Objectives
Objective in general indicates a place where you want to reach. In organizational literature it means the aim which an organization tries to achieve. Objectives are generally in plural form. Objectives are predetermined; they provide clear direction to the activities and results to be obtained from the planning process. Objectives must be SMART (Specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely). Objectives must be clearly defined, so that the works become goal-oriented and the unproductive and unsystematic tasks can be avoided. Goals
A Goal is simply something that somebody wants to achieve. The synonyms of goal are: aim, ambition, purpose, target and objective. Simply speaking, goal refers to the purpose towards which the efforts are made or endeavors are directed. Goal has a timeframe which is generally long term. So, it’s a long term plan. At this stage, it is important to differentiate between the terms objective and goal, because the words, objective and goals seem to be synonymous, but, in fact, they are not. It does not matter much which word you call goal and which word you call objective if you are consistent in your own use and understand its relevance or applicability. However, if there are words in English that are confusing, especially to the students, objective and goal are the ones among them. It’s therefore important to understand them so as to avoid the confusion. As Stated above, the words, objective and goal seem to be one and the same, as they express that a person wants to achieve something and as such both reveal the desired outcome. However, what differentiates between them basically is the time frame. And the objectives, being specific, support in the attainment of a goal.

For example, If a person wants to do a PhD course in Computer Science, it is regarded as his goal, whereas in the attainment of this his goal, he needs to fulfill several objectives, such as, preparing synopsis or extract of his chosen topic out of the given topics and submitting it for the concerned professors or panel of professors for the approval within certain time duration or limit. Once, the topic is approved, he needs to write and compile his thesis following the research methodology guidelines as to how to arrange it for review and perusal. Finally, he is required to prepare for the personal presentation and get the degree after the thesis being approved. For doing all these, you will have observed that a PhD Scholar has to fulfill the objectives within the time boundaries. In this way, objectives are specific and timely and measurable while the goal is generic and may not be strictly measurable. When it comes to understand the difference between these words in relation to an organization, it may be said that goals are broader while the objectives are narrower - being set for certain tasks in particular. 2. 3. C ómo traduc ir un texto Traducir correctamente no sólo implica convertir las palabras de un idioma al otro, sino que requiere de todo un análisis para usar los términos correctos. A continuación algunos consejos útiles para traducir un texto:
Interpr etar en el orden cor recto Se identifican: o Objeto de la frase. o Atributos del objeto.

Términos 100% precis os Se tiene que asegurar que los términos sean correctos, si no, se cambiaría el sentido de la frase.
No confundir palabras técni cas con communes Se debe tener un criterio extra, es decir, ampliar nuestro vocabulario y aprender palabras extras. Los términos técnicos son traducidos teniendo en cuenta el contexto en el cual se encuentran.
Póng as e en el lug ar del lector El proceso requiere de pasos importantes como traducir, releer, si hay cosas que no se comprenden o no son coherentes a la hora de leer, hay que corregir, luego volver a releer y ajustar.
A prender el domini o mientras s e traduc e Es mucho más fácil traducir un texto cuando se tiene el conocimiento del tema. Es importante cuando se aprende y se comprende el contexto y los contenidos del tema a traducir.
Términos que no exis ten en es pañol Los términos que no existen en español, no deben ser forzados a ser traducidos, por lo tanto es recomendable colocar entre paréntesis la palabra en ingles a manera de guía para el lector.
Traducci ón de s ig las Las siglas en ingles no se pueden traducir a español, así que lo recomendable es dejarlas tal cual como están en inglés, sin traducción.
Qué hacer frente a un término des conoci do En este caso se busca la palabra sola, y si no aparece su significado, se busca con una palabra que tenga relación con el contexto de la oración, y así sucesivamente.

No confi ar en otras traducciones Hay muchas traducciones ya hechas, pero están mal elaboradas. Lo recomendable es basarse en la lógica y el criterio propio.
Us ar buen español Es de suma importancia conocer bien nuestra lengua maternal para así realizar una excelente traducción.
