Winding the Bobbin Winding of the bobbin is done before threading machine:

* Place spool of thread on spool pin (1). * Choose size of spool holder (2) to fit spool. Slide it onto pin snugly against spool to keep spool from turning. ♦ Lead thread into top thread guide (3) by snapping it down into top of guide with two hands. ♦ Proceed to thread tension (4) wrapping thread once around in a clockwise direction. • Guide end of thread through small hole in top of bobbin (5) and place bobbin onto bobbin winder (6).

* Push bobbin winder to the right to engage the drive system and to disengage sewing mechanism for winding.

♦ Hold thread end coming through hole in bobbin and start motor. Wind slowly. Stop after a few turns to trim end, then

continue winding to desired fullness. NOTE: Bobbin will stop turning by itself when full, but sewing mechanism must be reset by the operator. * Release speed controller and push winder to the left to reengage sewing mechanism.

Instant Pattern Buttons

This machine makes sewing easier for the user by providing buttons for instant selection of the three most used stitches: straight stitch, zig-zag, and blind stitch. * When main main power power switch switch is turned on, straight stitch is automatically selected. Normal Pattern Selection All patterns available to the user, except buttonhole, are shown on the pattern display panel. This number will he the key for entering the selection into the machine. The main pattern selection controls consist of four arrowhead buttons (1,2,4,6) under the pattern selection indicator (3). Use these to ent er the key number. Pressing buttons (4) or (5), will change the right-hand digit of the display, increasing or decreasing the overall key number one unit at a time.























* To select select a pattern, first choose choose the desired individual pattern, letter, or numeral to he sewn (6) on the display panel and note the key number under It (7). ♦ After turning machine power power on, use buttons (1), (2), Normal Pattern Selection (Cont’d) (4), and (5) to enter the key number into the machine. ♦ If pattern selected has a key number number from 0 to to 9, the left hand side of the pattern selection indicator must be reduced to zero at which time it will go dark. * if desired, only only buttons (4) and (5) may be used since holding in either button will let the machine count up or down between 0 and 99, Buttons (1) and (2) make selection quicker by increasing or decreasing the entry of the key in steps of 10 units at a time. * When the key number appears or the selection indicator, the machine is ready to sew most selected patterns continuously as long as speed controller is depressed.























Fine Tuning Patterns Patterns are stored in the machine along with a pre programmed stitch width and length. Use of pattern as stored will produce an acceptable stitch under most sewing conditions. However, there may be circumstances when modifications modifications might be advantageous. The fine tuning controls allow these changes.
