There are several types of Artillery Artillery Reg Regiments. iments . The regiment regimentss are div divided into into 2 groups, Field Artillery Regiments and Air Defense Artillery Regiments. Field Artillery Regiment consists of Close Support Regiments, General Support Support Regiments and Locating Battery Regiment. Close Support Regiment Regiment provides effective close fire support to combat units in battlefield to prevent the enemy from carrying out effective maneuver against friendly forces. The General Support Regiment provides additional fire support in the battlefield from longer range. Locating Battery Regiment detect and acquires targets in the battlefield, provides artillery intelligence and weather information.
Guns Artillery Regiment There are 4 batteries in each regiment, comprise of 3 artillery batteries (A, B & C) and a HQ battery. Each artillery battery usually has strength of 6 guns.
MRLS Regiment As in the guns artillery regiment, there are 4 batteries comprise of 3 artillery batteries (A-Keris, B-Panah & C-Tombak) and a HQ battery. The HQ battery would contain the Regimental Command and Control vehicle and 2 Mobile Weather Station. Each artillery batteries would contain a Battery Command and Control vehicle, a Fire Control vehicle, 6 Multiple Launch vehicles, 6 Rocket Supply vehicles and a Mobile Workshop.

The formation of the air defense artillery regiment is similar to guns artillery except that the batteries are identified with letters S, T and U. 31st RAD is the only regiment with a reserved battery identified as V Battery. Meanwhile 32nd RAD has a team that operates Snipe and Meggitt Banshee 400 remote control target drone uses for regimental target practice. Each air defense artillery regiment has an integral workshop attached from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Corps.
Training Center Artillery Training Center or Pusat Latihan Artileri (PUSARTI) situated at Syed Sirajuddin Camp in Gemas, Negeri Sembilan.
