Lutron® integration protocol Integration Operations
Sheet Music
The Lutron integration protocol will allow third-party equipment, such as touch-screens, univer remote controls and sotware applications, to control and monitor devices in a Lutron light con system. The protocol supports three basic types o integration integration operations: •
Execute an action in the Lutron system
•
Query the status o the Lutron system and Lutron devices
•
Monitor responses rom the Lutron system Operation Characters
To help create and manage To manage the dierent integration operations, three three distinct operation charac have been selected to begin each command. All protocol messages will start with one o the ollowing operation characters: # Executes an action (e.g. turn a dimmer on/o) ? Query system inormation (e.g. determine on/o status o a dimmer)
~ Monitor responses rom the system when requested or ater a change has occurred (e.g. i someone turns on a dimmer locally a response command is sent out to indicate the cha
Note to Integrator: Operation characters are not used in any other location in the protocol command string. Thereore, the driver can search or these characters to determine the start o new command string. Command Types Operation characters will be ollowed by command types. The two most common commands OUTPUT and DEVICE. Other O ther command types are available; see the appendix or o r a summary •
•
OUTPUT allows control and monitoring o device outputs such as dimmers and contact closur outputs. and DEVICE allows control and monitoring o device inputs such as up button presses, releases, Sign to vote on this title contact closure inputs.

QS Standalone - System Overview
The QS amily o products products delivers scalable lighting and shading shading solutions or residential residential and commercial applications. At the center o the QS system are the GRAFIK Eye ® QS control unit Energi Savr Node TM control units, and Sivoia ® QS shades and drapes, providing direct control o electric and natural light. QS system devices communicate over the highly fexible QS link – the allows or daisy-chain or t-tap wiring congurations. All QS system devices communicate witho the need or interaces, and addressing is automatic, eliminating the need to set DIP switches. In addition, QS keypads are congurable in the eld to control lights, shades, lights + shades, o third-party devices. The QS system can easily be integrated with other systems through contac closure input/output, DMX output, or Ethernet/RS232. QS System Device Compatibility Index: QS Standalone GRAFIK Eye QS
