The feature name: Antenna System Monitoring
Feature description ›
›
›
›
This feature is used to monitor the status of antennas and to find out if there are faults. The RBS will use the SINR measurements and the PM counters needed to show the results of the measurements. The corresponding feature implemented in ENIQ-S, ASM-LTE uses the counters generated in RBS to produce antenna fault reports and to raise alarms Valid for multiple antenna configurations only ( 2, 4 & 8) ASM-LTE presents the Mean of delta of SINR, Standard Standard Deviation of delta of SINR, Overall severity, Fault indication and Number of User Samples per antenna pair
How does it works? ›
›
›
›
Measuring uplink Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio (SINR) for each antenna and user The difference of the SINR between each pair of receiver antennas is calculated and the corresponding counters are stepped Operations Support Systems-Radio and Core (OSS-RC) and Ericsson Network IQ (ENIQ) (ENIQ) collect the the counter values and the ASM - LTE in ENIQ can be used to calculate the mean and standard deviation Counte Cou nters rs ref refere erence nce::
Possible results Antenna System Monitoring (ASM) indicates the following following problems related to the antenna system: – – – –
Mismatched antenna pair Rx diagrams Swapped or disconnected feeders Loss in RF path Missing feeder
result illustration No Failure Received Signal SINR for UE 0 and UE 1, from Antennas 0 and 1 in Sector 0
The two antenna beams mism atched
One antenna antenna in sector 0 wr ongly con nected to sector 2.
