SAP Technical for non-Techncial ssers LSMW MEK1 Create Conditions
In LSMW, click “Create” ICON, Enter Project name and Description (without space) click “Continue”
Next, Enter Subproject and its description. Click “Continue” ...
Next, Enter Object and Name (both are user defined) … click “Continue” ...
Select radio button “Batch Input Recoding” and click “Recordings: Overview”
click “Create Recording”
Click Recording name and Description, usually I use the t-code. click “Continue”
Enter the t-code and click “Continue”
Start recording … Enter the Condition type and press Enter
You must Enter the valid Condition Type and Press ENTER
Enter Material Enter Plant Enter Vendor Enter Amount Press ENTER SAVE The reason for entering exactly as if manually creating MEK1 is to properly recored ALL steps into the LSMW recording.
Cleick to show “Default” field names which will be mapped to the CSV flat file later

Step 2 : Maintain Source Structure

Click “Create Source Structure”
Normally I create all these names using consistent methods… click “Continue”

Step 3 : Maintain Source Fields
Maintain Source Fields from step 1 to Source Structure in step 2
Click the select the “Source Structure” and click the “Table Maitenance” ICON
Enter field names and SAVE and BACK
Make sure the sequence is exactly what you have from your incoming CSV file !!!!!!!!

Step 4 : Maintain Source Relations
Assign Source Structure with source fields (step 2 & 3) to the recording in step 1

One recording with One structure is auto assign

Step 5 : Maintain Field Mappings
Map fields from Recording (step1) and into fields in Source Structure in (step3) with option for conversion rules to the mapped fields
Clik on Condition Type here and click “Source Field”
Double-click to select the Source field
continue the same with the rest
Mapped each field accordingly ...
Create a spreadsheet for the data
Enter content as mapped
SAVE as .CSV
Step 6 : Specify Files
Skip the Step before this (Fixed Values, Translations, Routines) if it is not required to data conversions.
Click to select source of “Legacy data” from PC and select “Add Entry”

Set FIle Names at Start of File

Step 7 : Assign Files
Assign File to the Source Structure
Click to select “Source Structure” (yellow), and cilck “Assignment”

Note file assigned to the Source Structure
Step 8 : Read Data
Upload the Data in LSMW Read File Mode (required step) also to check data mapping.

Check LSMW read data format
Data uploaded and SAVED into this file for read format only
Step 10 : Convert Data
Check LSMW read data format to write format (possibly with conversion rules before step 6)
