STRENGHT POINT 2+2 Chassis – Use of Stralis and Trakker existing components. Added front axle – same as the first axle, but uses ABS and not EBS system Shocks-absorbers and stabilizing bar – Use of Stralis existing components. Exhaust pipe system – the group of the battery-muffler has been re positioned backwards, same position as for the Trakker vehicle 8x4x4. Modifcation of electrical wirings for temperature NOx sensor, electrical wirings for battery and pipings linked to an APU on battery box.
Gearbox Crosspiece – U se of the solution foreseen for the Trakker vehicles. Front suspensions – parabolic crossbow double-bladed springs, Trakker origin for 8000 Kg + 8000 Kg loads Ecas: Use of a specific dataset to allow an adapted setting with the configuration 8x2x6 System urea – Stralis solution with urea tank on rear right hand side cabin mudguard. Braking system – connection between first and second axle with 1,15:1 pressure reducing valve. Two-channel (front axle and driving-axle)ABS system.
Pneumatic system – Use of Stralis solution with added 20lt tank in Steering system – Use of 8x4x4 Trakker solution for AD and AT cabins. order to allow braking on the added axle. For AS cabin vehicles a specific solution has been studied. The hydraulic Master cylinder has been moved from the servo-steering lever nd to the 2 lever (Trakker 8x4x4) trying to maintain the same steering angles as on 6x2PS. Hydraulic system steering ZF 8099 with 25 lt/min engine pump and emergency pump on gearbox. Air filter – Use of Trakker solution 8X4X4 with vertical filter.
Cabin suspensions – Specific groups for presence of ZF 8099 have been foreseen.
Gearbox – A 16 speed TD gearbox has been foreseen with intarder and separated heat exchanger due to the presence of second added axle.
