INAMSC (Indonesian International (Bio)Medical Students’ Congress) 2018 is a science subprogram of Liga Medika 2018. INAMSC is the biggest scientific event held by medical students in Indonesia. INAMSC 2018 is going to be held in Faculty of Medicine University of Indonesia, Jakarta in Thursday-Sunday, 26th – 29th April 2018. This event consists of symposium, workshop, and competitions held for national and international participants. INAMSC provides a unique opportunity for students to enrich their knowledges, meet each other, and broaden their network. With the theme of , we wish to raise awareness on Eyes Health in prevention, diagnosis, and therapy. The competitions held in INAMSC 2018 are: 1. 2. 3.

Participants of INAMSC 2018 should make an account in www.ligamedika.com After verification, participants might choose to apply in competition branches they want and fill the identity form Afterward, participants should upload: Scan or picture of student card o Scan or picture of identity card or passport o Letter of originality o CV o Payment proof (for public poster participants only). Payment should be sent o to account under the name: Confirmation emails will be sent 1-2 days after registration. Participants should send their papers/abstracts/posters to the email address given in confirmation email. All literature review articles and research abstracts must be submitted before February 9th 2018 23.59 [GMT+7]. We only accept limited amount of abstract and paper. The quota is 80 abstracts for research paper & poster competition, and 80 papers for literature review competition. All posters should be submitted within the same wave of their payment. For example, if a team pay Rp140.000,00 for the first wave, then the poster should be submitted during the first wave. Due date for first wave regsitration is January 12 th 2018 and due date for second wave registration is February 9 th 2018. Submitted papers/abstracts/poster cannot be modified. Literature review is an international competition conducted by Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia. Literature review is an essential step of learning new ideas and perspectives, which will be useful in formulating a research project for discoveries and inventions in the medical field. Reviewing recent studies or proposing new or innovative solutions can accomplish this. Therefore, biomedical students around the world are welcome to join this literature review competition. In accordance with Ophthalmology Medicine as the main theme for Liga Medika 2018, INAMSC Literature Review Competition 2018 focuses on these following subthemes: 1. Recent updates of ophtalmologic basic of prevention 2. Recent updates of ophtalmologic basic of diagnosis 3. Application of biomolecular technology in ophtamologic basis of therapy 4. Application of herbal medicine on ophtalmology therapy 5. Ophtalmologic complication of systemic disease
Literature review competition consists of three steps: Step 1: Preliminary round Submitted papers will be assessed by a group of judges who are staff doctors from several departments) of Faculty of Medicine University of Indonesia. Submitted papers will be clustered into groups based on their subtheme, and will be examined based on the assessment criteria (available in the next part of this guideline). All authors' name, identity, and name of the university they represent will be prohibited from the paper. Those who successfully pass this step will go to the semifinal round. Step 2: Semifinal Round In the semifinal round, all teams will be randomly divided into 3 clusters. Semifinalists should present their paper in the form of poster presentation in front of the judges. All authors' name, identity, and name of the university they represent will be prohibited from the poster. During presentation, all participants must not wear any alma-mater jacket. Each team will be given 15 minutes: 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for question and answer session. From each cluster, there will be two teams shortlisted for the final round. Step 3: Final Round In the final round, there are six teams who would present their paper in the form of oral presentation in front of the judges. The committee will randomize the order of presentation. Each team will be given 20 minutes: 10 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for question and answer session. There will be three winners in this literature review competition.
Each team for Literature Review competition consists of 2-3 participants from the same university under health and/or biomedical science-related majors, including bachelor students.

Minimally, two authors of the team proceeding to semifinal and final round must attend the semifinal and final round in INAMSC 2018. The committee of INAMSC 2018 has the right to publish all semifinalists' papers in the online program book of INAMSC 2018. The length of the abstract should not be more than 200 words. Abstract should comprise one paragraph. Font Times New Roman 12pt, single space between lines, with justified alignment. Abstract should reflect the content of the article accurately.

The article should clearly state the problem or issue at hand, describe past efforts to address it, and specify how the article represents a new contribution to the field.

The documents must be submitted in .docx file format. Lines within a paragraph should be separated with single spacing and 12pt spacing between a paragraph and a heading. Alignment should be justified. Spell out numbers from one to nine except for measurements. Example: four days; 14 beds; 3 mm. Word limit for review article is 2500 words (title, abstract, and reference sections are not included) Subheading 1st level subheading is to be written in boldface heading with sentence case. o 2nd level subheading is to be written in italic heading with sentence case. o Table The maximum number of tables used in an article is 5. o Title of tables should be written, including Arabic numbering for each table. o Tables should be in black and white. o List of sources of tables should be included as appropriate. o Figure The maximum number of figures used in an article is 3. Conclusion Summarize all ideas in the article you have written. o Discuss what you have drawn from reviewing the literatures and link it to your o objectives, but avoid giving statements or conclusion not adequately supported by the data. You may also give suggestions based on those facts. Acknowledgement (if necessary) Conflict of Interest State whether there is any conflict of interest and reveal any financial interest, o connection, or other situation that may call your writing into question and affect the conclusion or opinion you have made. References References are to follow the Vancouver citation style. References must be o displayed in an Arabic number in superscript, without parentheses. Write down all authors' names of cited works when there are three or fewer. o Otherwise, list the first three, then write et al. Manuscript for literature review INAMSC 2017
This is a template for the literature review competition of the Indonesia International (Bio)Medical Students’ Congress (INAMSC) 2018. Participants are recommended to use this template while writing their articles. The text in this manuscript should be replaced by the text written by the authors. The font used must be 12pt Times New Roman, single spacing between lines and 12pt spacing between the heading and the paragraph. The word limit for the abstract is 200 words. The authors should include introduction, objective of the work, methods, results, discussion and conclusion in this section. Keywords: The keywords consist of 4-6 words, arranged alphabetically. Use 12 pt; Italic; Times New Roman font.
The authors should state the context or background of the review article, problems and objectives of writing. This section uses 12pt Times New Roman font, singlespacing between lines, and 12pt spacing between the heading and the paragraph. Please use this template directly.
This section contains the data sources, search terms and strategies, selection criteria, number of studies found and included.
In this section, the authors should include data found from sources and organized systematically i.e. chronologically, thematically, methodologically, etc. Moreover, they should also include an analysis of primary study results based on current medical principles. Include summary of results from included studies as well as your own analysis and evaluation of the articles. Avoid using personal opinions; be objective in the analysis. Figures and Tables (this section is not part of the article, but to give information about how to present figures and tables in this review) The number of tables should not exceed 5 tables. Place tables on pages separate from the text (examples can be seen at the end of the manuscript) and use Arabic
numbering for the title of the table. You may use the table formatting option in Microsoft Word. Tables should be redrawn in black and white and sources of the table cited as appropriate. All figures and tables should be put in centre alignment and numbered consecutively. The number of figures should not exceed 3 figures. Maps, diagrams, drawings and figures must be displayed in sharp detail and coloured black and white. Please include actual data such as raw number in figures that contain percentages. The source of figures must be cited appropriately. Place figures on pages separate from the text (examples can be seen at the end of the manuscript). The numbering and title of figures come below the figure, as seen in the example at the end of the manuscript.
In this part, summarize all the review that you have written and link it to the objectives of writing set in the introduction. The authors may give opinions and suggestions based on his/her interpretation of facts and unresolved questions, but should avoid giving statement that is not adequately supported by the data. Avoid repeating the abstract as a conclusion. Make sure to have clear take-home messages that integrate the points discussed in review. You may also comment on the significance of your results and the review in this section.
Any acknowledgment necessary can be
written here. This section is optional. Any appendix or additional matters should be placed after the last section of the paper. The authors should state whether there is any conflict of interest and reveal any financial interest, connection, or other situation that may call your writing into question and affect the conclusion or opinion you have made.
The references must be written down in Vancouver style. All references cited in the text should be listed in the last section of the manuscript. References must be numbered in the order of which they are first mentioned in the text. Identify references in text, tables, and captions by Arabic numerals superscript (e.g. numeral superscript: 1). Avoid using abstracts as references of this article. If the reference of the article is a paper accepted but not yet published, it should be designated as “unpublished data”, “in press” or “forthcoming”. Reference list example 1. RPP competition is an original research paper competition intended for young researchers from all health and/or biomedical science-related fields. Appreciating the importance of research as the fundamental of medical development, RPP competition is held to facilitate young researchers to present their researches and to exchange knowledge with other participants.
This competition consists of three phases:
. You may submit your research abstract from any kind of fields related to medicine. Submitted abstracts will be clustered into one of three available clusters by the author itself as follows: •
Biomedical Research Biomedical Research cluster consists of research about , such as anatomical and physiological interpretation, research with experimental design and non-patient subject, as well as research about innovation in molecular study.

Clinical Research Clinical Research cluster covers research about clinical examination, management, or intervention on patient subject.
•
Epidemiology and Public Health Research Epidemiology and Public Health Researh cluster comprises of research with epidemiological study, community-based assessment, or non-clinical assessment on patient subject.
Those whose abstracts are accepted will be proceed to the semifinal round.
All teams will present their in . Semifinalists should present their paper in the form of poster presentation in front of the judges. There will be shortlisted for the final round.

Preliminary Round (Abstract Submission) The general guideline for research paper and poster applied in INAMSC 2017 is as follows. 1. Abstract must be written in English. 2. Abstract must be an original work and has not been published in any journals or presented in any scientific events. 3. The original research abstract should be finished before Liga Medika 2018, including original research and epidemiology. Abstract which contains review or meta-analysis will not be accepted. 4. The submitted abstract can not be revised. 5. The competition will be classified into three clusters of research:
a. 01 : Biomedical research b. 02 : Clinical research c. 03 : Epidemiology and public health research
1. The abstract must be submitted in .pdf and .doc or .docx format. 2. Abstract is typed on A4 paper, with normal margin, Times New Roman font type, 11 pt font size, spacing 1.5, and justified alignment. 3. Length of abstract should range from 250-300 words excluding the title, name of authors, affiliations, and correspondence. 4. Title of the abstract is typed in Sentence Case. 5. Write up to 5 key words that based on MeSH words found in PubMed. 6. References are not included in the abstract. 7. Only standard abbreviations may be used in the text. They must be introduced by using brackets just after the full word or phrase is typed for the first time. Subsequently, the abbreviations alone may be used. 8. Poster Publik sebagai salah satu bentuk seni yang dapat ditangkap dan dinikmati oleh masyarakat luas tidak dapat dipisahkan dari program untuk mendukung kesehatan Indonesia yang lebih baik. Poster publik menyajikan cara yang kreatif dan berbeda dalam tujuan mendukung upaya promotif dan prevetif yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah bersama dengan masyarakat.

Poster harus dibuat sesuai tema dan subtema Lomba Poster Publik Liga Medika 2018 Hasil karya yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya Poster dibuat dalam format digital, dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut: Poster dibuat dengan aplikasi pengolah gambar digital, seperti Adobe o Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, GIMP, dan sejenisnya Ukuran poster A3 potrait dengan resolusi 72-300 PPI o Poster dibuat dalam format berwarna o Poster logo Liga Medika 2018 di sisi kiri atas karya o Poster memuat logo universitas asal peserta o Poster tidak boleh mengandung konten SARA, pornografi, pelecehan terhadap pihak atau kelompok tertentu, dan promosi atas barang maupun jasa tertentu Poster dikirimkan dalam format .pdf dengan menyertakan file asli dari aplikasi pengolah gambar digital serta deskripsi karya dengan format .doc atau .docx sepanjang maksimum 200 kata !

Penilaian karya untuk lolos ke tahap finalis dan mengikuti kegiatan selanjutnya berdasarkan dari 10% online voting di Liga Medika dan 90% dari penilaian juri. Online voting dilakukan selama 14 hari. Dimulai pada 1 Maret 2018 Hingga 14 Maret 2017. Penilaian babak penyisihan mempertimbangkan hanya komponen penilaian poster, sementara penilaian final mempertimbangkan komponen penilaian poster dan penilaian presentasi final. 10 karya terbaik akan ditetapkan sebagai finalis untuk megikuti tahap selanjutnya. Alokasi waktu bagi setiap finalis adalah 20 menit, dengan rincian 10 menit untuk presentasi dan 10 menit untuk tanya-jawab. Penghargaan poster favorit akan diberikan pada finalis dengan jumlah like terbanyak pada liga medika. Penghitungan dilaksanakan pada hari diselenggarakannya final. Voting akan berlaku selama 3 hari hingga tanggal 28 April 2018 Pukul 14.00.
