Eudaimonia: A contented state of being happy, healthy and prosperous. 2. Eudaimonism: Philosophy which believes in happiness. Happiness for all: Altruism Happiness for own: Egoism

3. Egoism: Acting in terms of our own interest. Self interest above other aspects. Not recommended 4. Epicureanism: Pleasure as the sole ultimate goal and pain as sole evil.(physical pleasure,mental pleasure,spiritual pleasure) last two is more important 5. Hedonism: Physical pleasure is more important 6. Materialism: Everything in Universe is matter without any true spiritual or intellectual existence.Material success and progress are highest values in life, very much prevalent these days. 7. Idealism: contrast to materialism. Reflects high standard(idea),reality is in some way mental related to the contents and structure of mind. 8. Utilitarianism: We should act to create the greatest good for greatest number. 9. Teleological: end results is important 10. Deontological: Duty matters here.Means is important. Eg: Mother Teresa’s case study 11. Cynicism: indifference to social convention and material comforts in order to concentrate on self knowledge. Become self determining, hence free and live in accordance with nature. 12. Kantianism: Duty without expectation. Treat people as ends, not means. 13. Virtue ethics: you should be a good(virtuous) person with good conduct. 14. Natural Law of Ethics: we should act in accordance with our human nature and with the natural laws of the Universe. Ethics are universal and objective. Objectivism vs relativism. Law should be framed and followed according to morality not vice versa. Ethics are divine. 15. Sophism: Action could be good or bad depending on the circumstances. Easy ways to succeed through clever arguments without regard for morality or truth. 16. Scholasticism: More attention to formal rules and book learning. 17. Nihilism: A complete rejection of all religious and moral principles ,an extreme form of scepticism that maintains that nothing at all has a real existence. Nothing is truth. 18. Political Nihilism: advocates prior destruction of all existing political, social and religious orders as a prerequisite for any future improvement. 19. Ethical Nihilism: Rejects the possibility of absolute moral or ethical values. Good and evil are vague and related values are simply the result of social and emotional pleasures. 20. Pragmatism: Believe in being practical
