How to add Exception Rules to Windows Firewall for NX License Server The objective of this procedure is to enable NX client machine to grab license from another physical NX license server machine, while keeping the server’s firewall turned on. This This procedure is performed at the server machine. To grab the license, another usual alternative is to turn off the server firewall, but doing so makes the server more vulnerable to external thread. (For Windows 10) 1. Go to Control Panel > Panel > System and Security > Security > Windows Firewall 2. In the window below, click Advanced settings. settings.
3. In the left panel, notice there are
Inbound Rules and Outbound Rules.
4. To create an inbound rule, right-click Inbound Rules > Rules > New Rule... (To create an outbound rule, right-click Outbound Rules > New Rule...) Rule... )
Click Inbound Rules. Rules.
5. For the rule type, choose Port. Click Next >
6. Choose TCP, input 28000. Click Next >
7. Choose Allow the connection. Click Next >
8. At below dialog box, click Next >
9. At below dialog box, insert a name (for example
TCP28000 ) for reference. Click
Finish.
