1. Make sure you you have have the anti-theft anti-theft code for for the the radio, then write down the frequencies for the preset buttons.

11. Remove the four self-tapping screws that fasten the front console.
13. Locate the fuse label (included in the kit), and attach the fuse label to the fuse holder secured to the switch harness.

14. Plug the switch harness 4-pin 4-pin connector into the relay from the kit; then install the relay: •
Remove and discard the upper bolt fastening the hood opener, then attach the switch harness ground terminal to the upper bolt hole using the ground bolt supplied with the kit. BLUE TAPE FUSE HOLDER 1-PIN CONNECTORS

12. Remove the two self-tapping screws from from the sides of the rear console, and then remove the front and rear consoles. SELF-TAPPING SCREWS

Remove the bolt fastening the vehicle relay, and attach the 4-pin relay to the vehicle relay using the relay mounting bolt. Install the relay and the switch harness ground terminal with the ground bolt (included in the kit).

Tighten the bolts securely. securely.
15. Locate the 1-pin connector blue-taped blue-taped to the vehicle harness. Remove the blue tape to free the connector. 16. Plug the 1-pin connector from from the switch harness into the 1-pin connector of the vehicle harness. Secure the harness using two wire ties. Secure the wire ties only in the areas shown and not to the yellow SRS wire harness. Cut the excess off of the wire ties.

17. Route the switch harness 6-pin connector and 1-pin connector over the steering shaft, and secure the switch harness to the vehicle harness with one wire tie.
20. On the left side of the parking brake lever, lever, measure and mark the floor carpet in the area shown. Using a utility knife, make a slit in the carpet as indicated by the mark.

18. Unplug the 7-pin 7-pin connector from the light switch; then slide the 1-pin connector from the switch harness into the light switch connector. Reconnect the 7-pin connector.

If the vehicle you’ you ’re working is equipped with a security system, unplug the security system harness 7-pin connector from the vehicle harness and slide the 1-pin connector from the switch harness into the 7-pin security system connector, then reconnect the 7-pin connector.

21. Route the switch harness under the floor carpet and out through the slit you just cut.

22. Attach one wire tie with clip to to the switch harness, and press the clip into the hole in the instrument panel bracket. If this hole is already occupied, remove the existing wire tie and secure both harnesses with a new wire tie with clip. WIRE TIE VEHICLE HARNESS

23. Reinstall the steering column covers, the kick panel, the dashboard lower cover, and the front console.
SECURITY SYSTEM 7-PIN CONNECTOR
19. Secure the switch harness to the the vehicle harness with one wire tie in the area shown. Move the steering column up and down to make sure the switch harness does not rub on the tilt bracket.

24. Push out the lower switch cover from the rear console, and reinstall the rear console with the 6-pin connector routed through the hole. Discard the removed switch cover. FOG LIGHT SWITCH
26. Get template A from from the kit. Using a utility knife, cut out the lower “L” section from template A. Position the lower “L” section of template A on the left side of the front bumper just below the center grille and hold it there with a strip of adhesive tape. Using a felt-tip pen, mark the left edge of the lower “L” section on the front bumper.

27. Cut out the the upper “ L” section from template A. Fold the “L” section in the reverse direction along the dotted lines, and position position it on the left of the front bumper just above the center grille as shown. Using a felt-tip pen, mark the left edge of the upper “L” section on the front bumper.

25. Get the fog light switch from the kit. Plug the fog light switch into the 6-pin connector; then fit the switch into the hole in the rear console.

28. Using a pushpin, mark the the front bumper at the the center of the round mark on template A.

29. Get template B from the kit, kit, and position it on the left side of the front bumper as shown. Using a felt-tip pen, mark the front bumper in the area shown.
32. Use a file to finish all the edges and to remove any burrs.

30. While wearing eye protection, drill a 10 mm hole through the mark made in step 28: •
To prevent damage to the wire harnesses and connectors behind the front bumper, wrap electrical tape around the drill bits 10 mm away from the tip.
Remove any burrs.
33. Repeat steps 26 through 32 to cut out the right side of the front bumper. 34. Position bracket A on the front front bumper, bumper, and install two large washer-screws. LARGE WASHER-SCREWS WASHER-SCREWS

Wrap the bit with electrical tape.
First drill a 3 mm pilot hole, then finish with a 10 mm bit.
31. Using a hacksaw blade, cut out the marked area area from the front bumper. Take care not to remove the boss from the inner face of the front bumper.

35. Position bracket B on the front front bumper, bumper, and install two large washer-screws. Do not tighten the screws yet.

Installing the Fog Light Harness 36. Get the fog light harness from the kit. Secure the harness to the front lower cross member with five wire ties with clips. Cut the excess off of the wire ties.

39. Loosen the ground bolt securing securing the vehicle central ground to the body. Attach the fog light harness ground terminal and the vehicle ground cable to the body using this bolt. Tighten the bolt securely. 40. Secure the fog fog light harness to the vehicle vehicle harness with one wire tie.

41. Slide the 2-pin connector connector from the fog light light onto the connector holder on the fog light bracket.
42. Connect Connect the fog light harness 2-pin 2-pin connector to the 2-pin connector on the fog light. 43. Position the left fog light on brackets A and B, and install three small washer-screws.

44. Tighten the two large washer-screws loosely installed in step 35. 45. Repeat steps 34, 35, and 41 through 44 to to install the right fog light on the right side of the bumper. 46. USE AND CARE
Replacing the Fog Light Bulb
The fog light lenses may cloud when the outside temperature is cold; this is normal and should go away in warm weather.
Use only a Genuine Acura halogen light bulb of specified wattage. Part, Tools, and Supplies Required
Operating the Fog Lights •

Turn the light switch to the “on” on” position (headlight on low beam).

Adjusting the Fog Lights •

Adjust the vertical aiming according to the local laws and regulations. The horizontal aiming is factory set and cannot be adjusted.
3. Remove Remove the five screws that fasten fasten th the e rear rear cover, and remove the rear cover.
To adjust, turn the adjusting screw in or out until the correct aiming is obtained. Repeat for the other fog light.

Check that the wires are not forced against any metal parts.

Check that the wires are not pinched between the rear cover and the fog light housing.

Check that the gasket is installed properly and not twisted or inverted.
•
Tighten the rear cover screws securely.

Replacing the Fuse PROJECTION
Part Required Fuse Fuse:: 15A 15A (P/N (P/N 9820 982000-31 3150 500) 0) To replace the fuse, remove the cover from the fuse holder taped to the switch harness, install a new 15A fuse, and reinstall the cover.

Oily or greasy substances on the bulb can shorten its service life due to the heat produced when the bulb is turned on. If the bulb is accidentally touched, wipe it clean with a clean, soft cloth that has been dampened with denatured alcohol or a mild detergent solution.
