reat to have you aboard/ As you probably already know we have a slight situation on our hands" these creatures have escaped and are running loose around campus in a pocket dimension. dimension. This means that they are are harmless to the general population. ut like tribbles they have the potential to reproduce #uickly i$ the correct conditions are met. The portal technology we 0borrowed1 0b orrowed1 $rom Aperture Science didn2t work the way we initially planned3 what we hoped to do was to build a room with no windows or doors and then conduct our e&periments within that room room that way the the raptors wouldn2t have a way to escape to the outside outside world. *owever we only 0borrowed one portal gun and $ound out later later that this was a very special portal gun. Instead o$ tying together two points in space it connected two points in di$$erent dimensions. We actually thought that this was better since as $ar as we could tell the environment o$ this dimension was identical to ours e&cept that it was uninhabited. aking it the per$ect place place to conduct e&perimentation. The other thing we noticed a$ter e&ploring this dimension was that items we brought here cou ld be manipulated by electric pulses sent $rom our dimension using the device you are contact me on" however you needed to be in close pro&imity pro&imity to the items location in in the real world. Similarly" we could also also communicate across dimensions as long as we are in close pro&imity to each other. With that said" we could use a hand in rounding up the raptors. raptors. n$ortunately" the tags on the the raptors need to be activated to do this you will need to upgrade the devices you have. We thought the ones we brought through would work but apparently" you need to be in the real world to use the tracking device so we shut it down to conserve power.

Ingress" S76R and 8ours#uare 8ours#uare encourages players to check in at various locations in the real real world. Within 8ours#uare you are given points $or the uni#ueness o$ your check9in as well as a leaderboard to see how well you are doing against your $riends and the rest o$ the 8ours#uare community. community. There is also the ability ability to become the 0mayor1 o$ an establishment which may reward a player with additional discounts or pri'es $rom the establishment owner. S,76R is another location based game similar to $ours#uare e&cept that S,76R re#uires you to accomplish certain tasks while at an establishment. This is a bit more in9depth that 8ours#uare2s model in that you may have to take a certain picture or answer an swer a series o$ #uestions about the establishment to gain points. 8inally there is Ingress. Ingress is a game where you must physically got to locations that have virtual portals near them and either capture the portal $or your side" or i$ it is already already claimed by the opposing $action you can attack the portal to to attempt to gain control o$ it. This game also has many many changing in game announcements and 6!,2s which help to immerse the gamer within the game world and $eel like they are actually a part o$ a con$lict between two $actions. We believe that our game can compete directly with all o$ these titles because it is incorporating gameplay elements o$ all three games. :ou have the check9in type gameplay $rom $ours#uare" $ours#uare" the scavenger hunt gameplay $rom S,76R" and the location awareness and in game changes cha nges similar to ingress. &ules
The main rules o$ the game are simple a player uses their i+S device to locate items re#uired by the speci$ic #uest they are on. +nce all o$ the #uests are completed the end en d conditions will be met. C"allenges

Milestones
We have chosen these milestones to represent critical points within the schedule" these are 6+ 8AIB dates" i$ we miss these deadlines the pro;ect could b e in ;eopardy o$ $ailure" increasing in severity until the game release date. &is% anal#sis >
ARIS is still an Alpha build" as the ARIS team builds more $unctionality into their pro;ect" we may lose elements o$ our game. Also i$ ARIS was to lose support through i+S i+S our game build wouldn2t be accessible accessible at all. ecause this is built on the ARIS plat$orm there is no good way to directly moneti'e this game outside o$ a way o$ working in ads on websites that we could have the game load when meeting certain criteria. *owever" that idea may alienate players and keep them $rom wanting to continue to play our game. ARIS is also currently dependent on i+S technology" which alienates other mobile device users such as Android" Windows !hone and lackberry. ,uture up$ates >
We would like to have our game run on its own without the support o$ ARIS due to the ARIS limitations that we listed above. We would like to enable players p layers to directly interact with each other. We would like to open up #uest making to players and allow their builds to go out to the player community where the community can vote on acceptable user builds and they could then be added to the actually game" hope$ully creating a never ending stream o$ game content.
