Introduction This scenario is set in the late autumn of the year 3013 and starts at the Prancing Pony Inn in Bree, Arthedain. While staying at the ‘Pony the PCs are approached by a young trader called Alaric. He wishes to hire their services for the next month or so for a task of some importance.
The Task Alaric says he needs the PCs to protect him and his two sturdy hill ponies laden with trade goods on his travels North to the Lossoth village of Mulkan, then back again to Bree. At Mulkan he will be trading much-needed Arthedainian metal goods in exchange for rare Lossoth furs, skins and herbs. Alaric will cover the costs for any food, lodging and cold weather clothing that are required (within reason). On their return to Bree he will richly reward each person at the rate of 1 silver piece per day.
