Abstract
Globa Globall Posi Positi tioni oning ng Sate Satell llit itee (GPS (GPS)) is a satellite-based navigation system, originally used used for for mili milita tary ry appl applic icat atio ions ns but but late later r became available for civilian use. We were given three coordinates that are found in the property of niversity of Santo !omas. !omas. sing sing the GPS receiv receiver er,, we search searched ed for these locations and try to identify where and what is the significance of the coordinates. !he three three locati locations ons that that were were discove discovered red with our coordinates are the "acson gate, the Wor#shop area right beside the Publishing house, and the $spana gate corner besides %&' building close to P. oval. different satellites. &rom where the satellites overlap in regards to the receivers position, it shows the location of overlapping spheres. !he !he more more sate satell llit ites es ther theree are, are, the the more more accurately the GPS receiver can determine locations and coordinates. Methodology
's a group, we were to choose three random locations locations that were provided for us. With the use of GPS receivers, we are to wal# around S! and try to pinpoint each coordinate and ta#e note and photos of the surr urroundings without input putting the coordinates in the device. Results

!he GPS receiver #ept changing in the process so it was not e4act. &or every shift towards and away from the gate changes the coordinates bit by bit. So pictures were ta#en from close and farawar spots.
$spana gate right besides the %&' building was the determined location for coordinates */ 01./02 $ *2 3+.0*.
Wor#shop area close to the publishing house was determined for the coordinates */ 01./1 $ *2 3+.00.

!he coordinates were e4act for this location, thus a photograph of the GPS receiver on the ground is shown. !he only landmar# closest to the coordinates was the gate so it was deemed the most li#ely spot for the coordinates
!he coordinates led to a wall with a door, thus it lead to a bac# alley way behind the said wall. !he coordinates werent e4act, but it was close enough to the actual coordinates given. Discussion

&or the first coordinate that lead to the "acson gate, it turned out that that was not the location being indicated by the coordinate. &rom (Fig.4), the red dot on the top right side, the coordinates actually leads to the %ollege of $ducation. So the GPS may have had a bad signal and thats why it was far away from the actual coordinates. Second coordinate that is 5 in (Fig.4) was accurate and is most li#ely indicating the gate by the %&' building. %oordinates were on point in this part. !he third and last coordinate that is % in (Fig.4) was a little off, but nonetheless close to the actual coordinate. !he photograph from (Fig.3) was only a few
steps away from the indicated location of the coordinates.

Conclusion
