Details, details, details…they seem to never end with dreams. dreams. Too much attention to details details will keep you from discovering the true gold of a dream.

Be very careful about using dreams symbols books. Even those Christian books on dream symbols can misdirect you. If using them, use them as a reference but you true interpretation interpretation will come from the Holy Spirit who put the dream there in the first place. Taking a look at Joseph’s story; the cup bearer and baker said that there was no one to interpret their dreams. The fact is that that this took place place in a supernatural supernatural Mecca called Egypt. What they meant meant was that there was no one to interpret correctly!

The biggest negative affect to dreams is unbelief  That God doesn’t use them anymore  That God wouldn’t speak to you in a dream  Theology Psychology  Everybody dreams but not everyone remembers them. As long as you understand that God communicated in this way it will still go into your spirit. Joseph remembered his dreams but didn’t understand understand them. He actually mishandled the dreams but he still got to his destiny. Why don’t we read of Jesus interpreting dreams? We also don’t read of Jesus doing alter calls and passing our tracts. The point is that that they understood them. them.

When helping someone to understand understand their dream, dream, stick to interpretation. They will have to work out the application with God. What is the overall theme?   Theme is more important than symbols o Example; it is more important what “blue” is doing than what blue means  Break down to three points  If it’s a negative or dark dream then flip it and use it i t to the dreamer’s advantage  If you remove an object from from a dream does it alter alter it? If not it isn’t significant

Common Dreams 1. Teeth loose or falling out a. Metaphor – angel hands John a scroll and tells him to eat (not literally) but to chew on something means to understand it. b. May mean that you need you need wisdom or guidance 2. Flying a. Called to greater creativity b. Called to something higher c. Ability to rise above 3. Naked in public or forgot clothes a. Open and transparent b. Usually no one notices but you 4. Running or being chassed a. High call of God (threat to enemy) b. Possibly running from God 5. Falling (people that fall usually fly) a. God may be calling you to take risk 6. Return to past relationship a. Can be many things but most of the time if old love is symbolic of falling into old behavior b. Could be the need to intercede for that person 7. Your house a. Some aspect of your life b. What are you doing in the house? c. As adult in childhood house  – God is dealing with past generational line 8. Weather and disasters a. turmoil
