Motivation The teacher will conduct a group activity : The students will be divided into four groups. Each group will be given strips of papers. The students will be asked to arrange the words to make a sentence. The students will come up with the following sentences : Bacon and eggs make a great breakfast. Please lend me your pen. Oh what a shame! What is your name? B. Presentation The teacher will conduct a sentence analysis. Guide Question: What did you observe with the following sentences? C. Discussion or Activity The teacher introduces the four kinds of sentences according to use: Types Of Sentences Declarative- states a fact or opinion and ends with a period. Interrogative- asks a question and ends with a question mark. Imperative- expresses a request or command and it either ends with a period or an exclamation point. Exclamatory- expresses sudden and strong feelings The teacher will conduct a picture analysis The teacher will let students construct sentences out of the picture.
