Pricing… o Our bandwidth is classified under three main categories to fit the different customer segments and budget requirements : o Premium – (1:1 contention) o Standard – (1:4 contention) o Light (targeting residential customers and SOHO’s) - (1:8 contection)
o The differences in the monthly rates is due to the quality of the bandwidth offered i.e. a customer may get full dedicated speeds or s/he could be sharing with a certain number of users. o Premium: customer uses the bandwidth alone o On standard and Light, the customer shares the bandwidth.

New Fixed Data (Application) for Walk-in customers into the shop
o
Customer needs to complete the Fixed Data Application form in triplicate – There are two application forms: o Individual Fixed Data Application Forms- used for individual customers signing up o Corporate Fixed Data Application Forms- used for companies/business sign up i.e. SME’s, Corporate, NGO’s etc The application form requires to be accompanied with the following order requisites – Individual applications • Copy of national ID/passport • Copy of PIN certificate – Corporate (businesses, organizations and companies) applications • Copy of certificate of registration • Copy of PIN certificate

Drop application forms & attachments to any Safaricom Retail outlet for the analyst vetting which involves: – For new customer sign ups check: duly filled Application form, attachments & payments (prepayment + deposit) – For Existing post pay customers: Application form & prepayment
Fixed Data (Application) for Walk-in customers into the shop o
Payment options – Monthly payments costs based on package customer signs up – Customers can pay through; • Cash • Cheque

Fixed Data processing & installation – 3 days turnaround time – Retail analyst scans the application form, attachments & payment receipt and sends to fixed data orders team (
[email protected]) – Fixed data team forwards the documents to credit control team for vetting. Once the order is approved, its sent to technical team so that they can send field engineers to carry out a survey and installation. This should be completed in three days.
Fixed Data Sales Process Engage & Assess Customer Needs to determine right bandwidth
Upon receipt of a fixed data order, the Fixed data team will check for completeness of the order.

The order will then be progressed to credit control for further vetting.

If success the order will then be sent to the technical team for installation.

Once installed it progresses to order processing and ultimately billing
